Raced awkwardly shortly after the start and lost ground. Made contact with the running rail and had to be checked when tightened for room near the 900m. Stewards inquired into this incident and were satisfied that the tightening was caused when RELIABLE LASS (B. Stewart) shifted in despite the efforts of its rider at that point of the race and no further action was taken.

Improved on to heels after passing the 800m and had to be steadied. Shifted out and made heavy contact with another runner when attempting to secure clear running approaching the 400m, became unbalanced and was then shortly thereafter obliged to be checked to avoid heels. Bled from both nostrils during the event. The filly will now be ineligible to start for 3 months, and prior to resuming racing must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward.
