Bumped by another runner approaching the 300m. Stewards inquired into the riding of apprentice M. Murphy as to his reasons for allowing his mount to settle 3 wide outside the lead whilst the pace of the race was only steady. Apprentice Murphy stated after allowing CHARWAY to cross in the early stages he felt he would obtain a position behind that horse one off the fence, however STAR SILK improved quickly to his inside near the 1200m and that caused him to be 3 wide. At a point near the 1100m he felt that his mount was travelling comfortably and did not feel he would be able to obtain the
