Stewart indicated that after beginning only fairly and riding his mount forward he was obliged to race 3 wide, and stated he had given consideration to placing more pressure on his mount in an attempt to race forward and cross to the lead, however he did not feel the mare was travelling well enough to do so, indicating that BIMINI ROAD did not travel well throughout the event.
