Williams reported to stewards that she had been instructed to ride the horse in a forward position, however, despite her urgings in the early stages the horse was unable to muster any early speed and she was obliged to settle in the second half of the field and the horse, in her opinion, was disappointing over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
