Placed in restricted room passing the 1600m. Trainer T. Haydon was asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance. He indicated, in his opinion, the horse appreciates softer racing surfaces and stated he was not entirely disappointed with the horse’s last start performance as the horse was competitive until weakening over the final 200m and had expected a forward showing in today’s event.

When the pace slackened after passing the 1200m commenced to overrace and shifted to a 3-wide position to avoid heels and raced without cover for the remainder of the event. Whilst laying out under pressure in the home straight shifted out to the heels of BROCSON and had to be steadied over the concluding stages.
