Change of tactics. Connections advised the horse would settle in a midfield position. After being caught wide in the early stages was ridden forward to a position outside the lead. A post race veterinary examination of the horse, which weakened badly in the home straight after being bumped by another runner near the 400m failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer K. Schweida indicated to stewards in light of today’s performance he would discuss the horse’s immediate future with the owners.
