Laid out under pressure in the home straight. When asked to comment on the performance, R. Stewart indicated that the tempo of the race was slower than he would have liked and that he had anticipated being a little bit further back in the field, however, felt that the horse travelled comfortably until being asked to respond approaching the home turn and did not quicken. He felt that the horse having its first run this preparation over 1400m may have had an effect but he could offer no explanation for the performance, which he felt was disappointing.
