When asked to comment on the horse’s performance, S. Cormack advised that his mount did not travel comfortably at any stage of the race and did not respond to his riding in the straight. He added that the horse faltered shortly after entering the home straight, but he could offer no explanation for the performance. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse had a slow post-race recovery and that connections had advised that the horse would undergo an endoscopic examination, the results of which would be reported to stewards.
