Stewards questioned jockey S. Cormack regarding his riding of the horse. Of concern to stewards was that after being significantly slow to begin he then did not place pressure on the horse in order to attempt to remain in touch with the main body of the field until entering the home straight. Jockey Cormack explained that after the horse was slow to begin he immediately felt the horse was short in its action and therefore did not place any pressure on it to improve.
