When asked to comment regarding the gelding’s performance, apprentice B. Nothdurft stated that at no point did the gelding travel comfortably. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the off foreleg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the resumption of racing.
