Raced three wide without cover throughout. Overraced and laid out from the 700m until the 400m. Performed below market expectation, apprentice advised that, in his opinion, the mare is more suited to distances shorter than that of today’s event, and could offer no other explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
