When asked to comment on tactics adopted in the early and middle stages, apprentice A Jones advised instructions were to race in a one-off position and come to the outside, however stated she was unable to comply with these instructions when racing to the inside of EVITA LA VIE passing the 1300m, she attempted to restrain and shift to the outside of that runner, however she was prevented from doing so as MR SO AND SO improved quickly to her outside approaching the 1200m, resulting in her settling on the rails further back in the field than anticipated.
