Steadied from the heels of PAINTED BLACK near the 1300m and had to be steadied. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Rider B Thompson reported the horse travelled comfortably in the run however was disappointing when placed under pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Fractious leaving the enclosure resulting in rider J Molloy being harmlessly dislodged. Underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was cleared to start. Rider J Molloy was examined by QAS staff and cleared to fulfill his engagement. Slow to begin. Over-raced for a short distance near the 1300m. Put in an awkward stride near the 600m.
