Began awkwardly, making contact with the nearside barrier partition, this caused jockey M Murphy to have his near-side foot almost dislodged from his iron and at a point approaching the 800m, he was obliged to reach down and re-position his foot. Raced three-wide throughout. Jockey M Murphy was asked to comment on his mounts performance and he stated that despite having to reposition his foot and racing wide, he was disappointed with the horses performance as he was under pressure from the 500m and the gelding weakened in the straight.
