When questioned about the performance of the gelding which raced below market expectations, Jockey D. Simmons stated that it was the horse's first start in a clockwise direction and it never travelled comfortably at any stage . He added that he was obliged to race wide after beinning awkwardly from its wide barrier for the majority of the race and became unbalanced near the 450m. Trainer S.
