J. Missen reported on returning to scale that he was not concerned that his mount raced in a rearward position, which is the mare’s usual racing pattern, however when placed under pressure at the 600m the horse failed to respond and proved very disappointing.

Caught wide in the early stages, allowed to stride forward by its rider to a position closer to the rails near the 1200m. Had a tendency to race keenly from the 1200m to nearing the 1000m. Apprentice E. Ljung advised that after beginning awkwardly and being caught wide in the early stages, her mount eventually settled near the 1000m and obtained a comfortable run for the remainder of the event, however when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding and in her opinion proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
