On return to scale rider advised that after beginning well he obtained the leading position, as per the horse’s customary racing pattern. He added that the filly travelled comfortably throughout the event, however when asked to improve into the race from the 400m, failed to respond to his riding as he had expected and proved disappointing over the concluding stages.
