After being caught wide in the early stages, E. Ljung restrained her mount to a position closer to the rails at the tail of the field and as a result settled further back than anticipated. Checked near the 400m to avoid the heels of MADAM SHAZAM (N. Tomizawa), which shifted out to secure clear running. N. Tomizawa was reprimanded.
