Ride reported that it was not her intention to lead in today’s event as, in her opinion, the mare performs best when able to be ridden with cover, however as a result of racing keenly in the early stages she was forced to lead. Stewards noted the explanation.

Began awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare, which tailed off, failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer P. Kalinowski advised that in the light of today’s poor performance, it is now her intention for the mare to leave her stable. Trainer Kalinowski was nevertheless advised that should the horse race again, it will not be permitted to compete at TAB meetings until such time as its country form improves.
