Jockey R. Wiggins could offer no explanation for the seemingly disappointing performance of the mare. Trainer D. Vandyke could also offer no explanation for the performance, and advised that he will now experiment with the horse’s gear and may barrier trial the horse prior to its next race start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting a poor post-race recovery.
