When questioned by Stewards, jockey E. Ljung advised that when entering the home straight she was presented with a run to the inside of ACEPLAY (App. A. Thompson), however when that horse shifted in, her mount was held up and disappointed for a run until securing clear running near the 100m. She added that, in her opinion, her mount is better suited when it can maintain momentum. Stewards noted the explanation.
