When questioned by Stewards regarding the seemingly disappointing performance, Apprentice M. Wishart advised that the mare travelled fairly during the early and middle stages, however it failed to run on as she had expected when placed under pressure. She added that, in her opinion, the mare may not have backed up from its run at Caloundra on Sunday 28 July 2019. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Began awkwardly, and shifted out abruptly on jumping away. The saddle shifted forward near the 1400m placing jockey K. Yoshida at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. Jockey Yoshida advised that, as a result of the saddle shifting forward, he allowed his mount to stride forward from the 1200m.
