Slow to begin. Leaving the 600m attempted to shift wider to improve, however was unable to do so when ROCK WAR held its racing line to the outside. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

Raced wide until the 1200m. Rider R. Maloney advised Stewards at scale that the gelding was obliged to race wide in the early stages which in his opinion, the gelding peaked on its run in the home straight and did not finish the race off as anticipated.

Held up for clear running approaching the 200m until leaving the 150m.

Laid out under pressure leaving the 200m.

Fractious in the barrier. Began awkwardly and buffeted FAUSTO. Approaching the 1200m, commenced to over race and shifted wider racing three wide until the 700m.

Leaving the 1200m, shifter wider and raced three wide from that point. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

Slow to begin and hampered shortly after the start by REISINGER. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer P. Campbell was advised that the gelding would have a warning placed on it for poor performance.
