Over raced in the early and middle stages passing the 1000m and had to be restrained from the heels of MIXED SPICE when the pace of the race slackened. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Passing the 400m, attempted to improve into a run where there was insufficient room to do so between READY AZZ EVA and GOOMERI and as a result had to be restrained and shifted wider.

Held up for clear running on entering the home straight, approaching the 300m shifted out in an attempt to improve into a run between MIXED SPICE and REEANON, when doing so, Jockey J. Bayliss dropped his inside rein before shortly regathering. Shortly thereafter, the run began to close after REEANON commenced to shift in and MIXED SPICE shifted out. Both riders were reminded of their obligations to stop and straighten their mounts. As a result, was held up for clear running and not tested to the
