Wnen questioned over tactics adopted, in particular decision when racing outside leader, to pressure that horse between the 1000m and 400m. Rdr stated instructions were to be positive and to race in a handy position with cover if possible. After viewing race footage, Rdr agreed had erred in not attempting to restrain to a position behind leader mid-race and so give the horse an opportunity to finish the race off.
