Raced wide throughout. On returning to scale, Jockey N Callow reported that the gelding was inclined to hang out during the middle stages and as a result shifted wider on the track. He added that in the home straight the gelding commenced to race more tractably and was able to make steady ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
