Rdr reported intention to be somewhat closer, however; when caught wide in the middle stages, was obliged to push forward and join the leader near the 900m.

Hampered between runners on jumping. Rdr reported gelding travelled well early, then came off the bit passing the 1000m obliging considerable pressure-said gelding contacted rail near the 800m and was again under pressure approaching the 500m, before steadying from the heels-added not comfortable with gelding’s action on straightening and considered easing from the race, however, gelding then regained its stride giving Rdr more confidence to push it out over the concluding stages where made ground in the run to the winning post.
