Bumped on jumping. Raced ungenerously whilst being restrained in the early and middle stages. Jockey C Whiteley reported the gelding had a tendency to laid out during the event and was reluctant to stretch out during the middle stages. Jockey Whitley added that in his opinion the gelding didn’t not appreciate the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the off hind leg.

At the request of the trainer was examined by the Veterinary surgeon upon arrival at the course. Subsequently passed suitable to race. App I Rabjones reported that the mare may have gotten its tongue over the bit during the event and recommended to connections to apply a tongue tie to the horses gear for its next start.

Tightened for room at the start and then failed to muster early speed before tailing off in the event. Jockey Ainsworth reported that the gelding never felt comfortable at any stage during the event and was reluctant to stretch out when placed under pressure. A post race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
