Hampered shortly after the start. Nearing the 200m was placed in restricted room and had to be checked when DARCHINIAN was directed outwards to secure clear running. Apprentice J. Lloyd the rider DARCHINIAN was found guilty of a charge of careless riding pursuant to AR 131(a) for directing his mount outwards leaving the 200m when insufficiently of FIGHTING MAD resulting in that runner having to be checked by its rider.
