Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin. Hung out 1000m until home turn. Jockey N Thomas was in difficulty on the mare. Hampered and forced Vienna Cruise wide at the 1000 metre turn and continued to hamper Vienna Cruise by hanging out. Ginger Mule returned to scale missing the near side hind plate. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame and suffering a skin laceration and bruising to the near side hind leg. Ginger Mule will be stood down from racing until a satisfactory trial is performed and vet clearance provided.
