A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly agitated in recovery. On 24/04/2024 Tnr S. Massingham advised Stewards that ROCK IN THE PARK had pulled up lame in the nearside knee and his intention is to recommend to owners to retire the gelding. Nonetheless Mr Massingham was advised a veterinary certificate will be required prior to the gelding racing next.
