Premier trainer Col Byers will take five greyhounds to the Ipswich meeting on Tuesday from his Drayton base and says his old mate Little Ach Cee will be his best chance.
Little Ach Cee, the four-year-old with an amazing career record of 92 starts for 41 wins, 25 seconds and 12 thirds, will jump from Box 2 in the Ipswich Greyhounds Best 8 (431m) at 5.09pm.
Col will also have Spring Colleen (Box 5) and Spring Lottie (Box 6) in Race 6; Waycol Bill (Box 3) in Race 9 and Spring Lemon (Box 6) in Race 10.
“Little Ach Cee is my best hope,” Byers said.
“The others might be a bit short of a run; I’ve been a bit crook and haven’t been able to work them as much as usual... Little Ach Cee had three runs in 10 days recently. He won two of them and finished second in the other so he’s racing as well as ever.”
