Form Analysis: Marburg March 2

RACE 1 

ALWAYSMISSINGYOU (1) has some gate speed and looks the most likely leader. Her recent efforts have been good enough to suggests she’d be very hard to beat in a race of this nature leading. 

SOOTY UNDER FIRE (5) made an error last start in the early stages and now finds himself ODM as a result. Shouldn’t be too far away. 

WECANONLYDREAM (4) was forced to do the work in a stronger maiden last start and gave ground late to be beaten 75 metres. Can improve in this. 

ALLSHECANBE (6) draws favourably in this race can look to record her first placing.

RACE 2 

STORMBOY STAR (4) zoomed off the gate last race start and was quickly beaten when giving ground to be beaten 65 metres. He has since trialled well enough to take out a race of this nature. 

TUFFY (1) ran a much improved fourth two starts ago when drawing gate one at Redcliffe. He could secure a similar run in this race and would likely be thereabouts. 

TODAYS HERO (2) was able to run into third last start when second up from a spell. He comes into this race third up and should be nearing peak fitness. 

DEEP REGRET (8) on ability looks a clear standout top pick in the race. We have failed to see that many times at the races which is why he has just 9 top 3 finishes from 50 starts. His best is good enough for this.

SUGGESTED BET: TUFFY (1) to place. 

RACE 3

HIGHVIEW SADLER (4) looks the standout on class and should find this easier than recent outings. His fifth two starts ago looks good enough to be in the finish of a race of this nature. 

ROCCO VARIETY (8) has been thereabouts in recent starts. He has a nice turn of foot and could be running on into the finish if the tempo suits. 

STUDLEIGH DARCEY (2) tends to mix his form and gate speed. Ran last in his most recent start in what was seemingly a much tougher race. 

DOC HARVEY (6) draws awkwardly inside the back row. Worked hard early last start and was entitled to tire.

SUGGESTED BET: HIGHVIEW SADLER (4) to win. 

RACE 4 

SINGER SNAP (3) has good gate speed and lands in a race where it looks like she might be able to find the front. She didn’t have much luck last start from a wide draw. 

COLETTE (1) doesn’t have much gate speed and has previously made mistakes when drawn gate 1. Trialled up reasonably recently and should be thereabouts. 

TAPTHEKEG (8) has taken on slightly stronger races in recent starts and looks better suited in this company. Should get a reasonable run through early. 

TAKIDAH (4) was competitive two starts ago in similar company. Needs luck from the draw.

SUGGESTED BET: SINGER SNAP (3) to win. 

RACE 5

GET ME OUTTA HERE (3) has very good gate speed and was able to use that to score a good win two starts ago when leading. This looks another race he could find himself on the front end. 

CRIME TIME (8) did the work last start and battled on well enough. He will likely need to do the work again. 

MAN OF ACTION (1) isn’t blessed with brilliant gate speed and will need to begin well to hold up. Hard to beat if able to hold a position. 

MELTON INSULTED (9) looks one of the class runners in this race. Despite the outside back row draw looks one of the hopes. 

SELECTIONS: GET ME OUTTA HERE (3), CRIME TIME (8), MAN OF ACTION (1), MELTON INSULTED (9)

SUGGESTED BET: GET ME OUTTA HERE (3) to win. 

RACE 6 

MADRIGAL (8) looks to bring in some of the better form into this race. If she steps cleanly and quickly she looks suited off just 20 metres despite the race being just a short course stand. 

MISTY CREEK (9) is the clear class runner of the field and appears to be working back towards some of his better form. Has won previously from the stand and if he steps well this time can be hard to beat in this race. 

MAGICOL IDEAL (6) looks very well suited off the front mark in this stand. He is first up from a spell off the back of a moderate trial which is a query. 

ONE LAST ROLL (3) has begun quickly from a number of stands and may be the early leader which could prove vital in a stand start over the 1850.

SUGGESTED BET: MADRIGAL (8) to win. 

RACE 7

DREAM MELODY (1) just battled away last start at Bathurst after securing a good run on the pegs. Has the gate speed to dictate in the early stages and can prove hard to beat at her best. 

B MAC C (4) wasn’t beaten far behind Luca Doncic last start in a much stronger race. Gets no favours from the wide draw in this race. 

IM BOO (5) started inside the back row last start which isn’t his ideal set up. From the wide draw he may be able to get up on speed and bowl along which seems to be how he does his best racing. 

STUDLEIGH ANNE (6) has the great draw inside back row following the likely leader. Her figure form is poor but she is likely an improver with the right run.

SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH ANNE (6) each way. 

RACE 8

ULTIMATE HUNTER (1) has decent gate speed and from the inside draw should have the speed to hold up early. Looks hard to beat in this company. 

SPORTING TRISTAR (6) led and was well beaten last start in what appeared a stronger race behind Sky Girl. May be better suited following from a trailing draw in this race. 

ARTISTIC SAINT (7) trialled moderately recently. Looks suited in this company and has options in the early stages. 

GRACENAVA (2) has been racing well. Should get a good run from the low gate.
