Gunsynd Park will present the running of the Inglewood Cup on Saturday June 2, where the winner will automatically qualify for the Battle of the Bush Series Final at Doomben on June 23.
Gunsynd Park will present in immaculate fashion and some close finishes like below are sure to be the order of the day with five events on the program.
Despite the dry times, Club President Geoff Makim is hopefully of a good even surface and a great days racing.
"The beautiful Autumn Days are ideal for a day at the races. We have made several changes to our track maintenance program and are looking at employing a caretaker to maintain and supply a consistent high quality”. So Gunsynd Park is really on the up."
The sponsors viewing mound has been a great success with sponsors, corporate and parties bookings encouraged. On course catering is the responsibility of Jodie Jeans and hers staff can now cater for the individual needs of each group.
All sponsors will be catered for under the Chesterfield tent on the southern end of the mound.
The oncourse tote is a great back up to those who are looking for the exotic betting and the usual contingent of bookmakers will be on hand to service the punting needs.
Feature event on the card will be the Inglewood Cup sponsored by Jeff Hannaford Chartered Accountants who this year celebrates 40 years serving the Inglewood & Texas area. Support races come in the form of the Combined Hoteliers Maiden Handicap, Main Street Traders Class B, Industrial Suppliers BM 55 and the Agricultural Suppliers 2 & 3yo QTIS Maiden handicap.
Gates open at 11.30am and the fist local race will be at 1.30pm for Racing at its Best in the West.
