RACE TWO
CERTAINLY WAITNSEE (1) was runner-up here 7 starts back when drawing to find the front and run-down in the latter stages. He hasn’t landed a gate to find the front since that run and from the ace gate gets his chance to dictate. He does face some better credentialed runners but the map suits.
THE NEXT STAR (6) has the wide gat to overcome but has the best career figures of any of her opponents. Setting a solid tempo last start and just tiring in the stretch at her 2nd run back from a break, she will be tightened from that and looms as a big threat. ARES (8) has been freshened since his last appearance when tiring behind HEEZ PERFECT. 3 starts back in a race similar to this he found the line well enough. With even luck in transit he can feature. MODERN THOUGHT (4) rolled forward to the breeze last start and after applying the pressure couldn’t see it out. With an easier run in transit she has podium claims in this line-up. SELECTIONS: CERTAINLY WAITNSEE (1), THE NEXT STAR (6), ARES (8), MODERN THOUGHT (4) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE
FORTES IN FIDE (8) will need a slice of luck from the 2nd line but he is starting to put it together as he builds towards a maiden breaking win. He worked home well to be 7m from the winner ACT OF VALOR 2 starts back and wasn’t suited at the 2138m trip last start. This looks ideal. FAKEROCKNROLL (7) will need plenty of luck from the alley but if able to find space with track to work with has some claims. Grabbed right on the line last start when looking to take them all the way, he will be probing for gaps. THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (3) has been well beaten in recent starts when looking to work home wide off the track. Given a chance to find the pegs here, she can be an improver. TORQUE TO THE MAX (4) settled in the pocket trail last start at Marburg and ran home to grab the bronze behind REGAL ROCK. Showing steady improvement this prep she has podium hopes. SELECTIONS: FORTES IN FIDE (8), FAKEROCKNROLL (7), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (3), TORQUE TO THE MAX (4) SUGGESTED BET: FORTES IN FIDE (8) to win
RACE FOUR INVITE ONLY (8) gets in here on a class drop after taking on Sat night events at her past 3 starts. Buried in the run 2 starts back she attacked the line strongly to be within 5m of the winner to take the bronze in a mares qualifier. With some early tempo she can look to finish over the top. KEARNEY LANE (1) wasn’t suited last start from the 2nd line when the closing panels set by DARKERSHADEOFPALE were out of reach. She worked home wide off the track here 2 starts back and with the speed to hold the early advantage, she will be better placed here. JANIES GOT A GUN (4) pounced on the pegs from gate 2 here last week and once in control held off all challengers to score. Run down late 2 starts back she will take a shot here and is in the mix. KAANAPALI (7) was an all the way winner here 4 starts back when holding them out over the 1780m. Luckless when probing for a run 2 starts back he should get a perfect trip here.
SELECTIONS: INVITE ONLY (8), KEARNEY LANE (1), JANIES GOT A GUN (4), KAANAPALI (7) SUGGESTED BET: INVITE ONLY (8) to win
RACE FIVE
MO JARNEY (2) shoots for the hat-trick after successive AP wins including a career best win rate last start. Both wins have been when able to lead all the way and with the lead his for the taking he can light the lamps and record the hat-trick. HEAVENS HINT (1) found the line nicely 2 starts back in a mares qualifier when7m from ARTIKULATE MISS and then last start was too far back from gate 7. Doing her best when saved for one run and from the inside alley will be coiled and ready to issue the closing shot here. THE BLACK FLASH (4) returns from a spell and has changed stables since his last appearance. A winner of 4 from 9 career starts and all those wins here at Redcliffe, he stays under notice. GLENFERRIE BABY (7) found her race last week and sent around the field in the early stages to the breeze was able to pull clear to score a strong win. She will need some luck from the gate. SELECTIONS: MO JARNEY (2), HEAVENS HINT (1), THE BLACK FLASH (4), GLENFERRIE BABY (7) SUGGESTED BET: MO JARNEY (2) to win
RACE SIX FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (5) secured the pocket trail last start and once the passing lane opened packed too many guns to arrive for the win. Only grabbed in the last strides 2 starts back when looking to lead throughout over the 2040m trip, he can roll forward and issue the challenge. TASCOTT LADY (1) has not been suited from 2nd line gates at her past 2 starts and been forced to chase in the run. With the speed to hold the front here she can look to dictate terms and looks to get every chance to take this. SPLASH OF GOLD (8) speared out to the lead here 2 starts back and was never threatened once in control over the 1780m. She never worked into the contest last start from gate 9 and place looks best from this alley. CONCENTRATION (10) tracked into the race nicely last start from this same gate and in a slogging drive to the wire held on to score. This is harder but he is in the exotic mix in this line-up.
SELECTIONS: FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (5), TASCOTT LADY (1), SPLASH OF GOLD (8), CONCENTRATION (10) SUGGESTED BET: FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (5) to win
RACE SEVEN
MAJORESS JUJON (1) found them a bit slick at AP 3 starts back when fading off behind RUHTREBO. Her past 2 starts since returning to the triangle have been off the 2nd line, the latest when sent to the breeze. From this gate she gets every chance to land career win number 4. MACH TORQUE (9) settled back in the pack on the grass at Kilcoy 2 starts back and when asked for the run worked home strongly to post a 5m victory over REGAL ROCK who has franked that with a subsequent win. Taking on a Marburg race and working in the run on Sat, she is in the mix here. DAPPER BESSIE (7) hit the line in good order last start behind ADRIFT to finish 3m away in claiming 2nd place. If the 1 looks to go all the way, she will be ready to take the snipers shot in the stretch. MAHALO (5) was knocking on the door and last start strolled through after angling to the outside and finishing over the top of SHEZA GALVINATOR. The gate hurts but she is racing well and has claims. SELECTIONS: MAJORESS JUJON (1), MACH TORQUE (9), DAPPER BESSIE (7), MAHALO (5) SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-5-7-9
RACE EIGHT MASTER DIP (2) found his race at AP 2 starts back and rolling to the front from gate 4 over the 2138m was able to take control and score a 2m victory. Back to the mile last start he went back early and closed out well when 7m from the winner. Pressing ahead he can look to dictate here. BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (7) was buried away last start and never had a clean shot at them when 11m from PARISIAN ROCKSTAR. Too far back from the 2nd line at Tamworth 2 starts back, he will get a good trip here and can be coiled and ready to strike when the gap opens. CALCAVADO (9) went to the front last start from gate 2 and dictated in front, including a nice 57.4 closing 800m panel. Super consistent he will be charging home in the closing stages. THE FRAME (4) rolled to the breeze from gate 3 over the 1780m 2 starts back and was too strong in scoring a 4m victory. Not suited from inside the 2nd line last start he can look to stare them down.
SELECTIONS: MASTER DIP (2), BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (7), CALCAVADO (9),THE FRAME (4) SUGGESTED BET: BUCKHORN EXCHANGE (7) each-way
RACE NINE OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (1) made the most of getting to the front for the first time since arriving in Qld and taking control scored a nice win at Marburg. This is a step up but with the confidence of the win and from the gate advantage can look to make it back to back wins. SAND SAFARI (7) rolled to the front on the grass at Kilcoy 2 starts back and looked to dictate from the front when gunned down in the closing stages by SHADOW PASS. Wide off the track last start when chasing OUR EDUARDO DENARIO, she will get the sitting shot on him here. THE DREAM MAKER (10) made a mess of things early last start and throwing his chances away. He will take some benefit out of that when resuming from a break and despite the gate has some claims here. VANTO HANOVER (2) secured running line cover last start after making the most of returning to the main draw and chased home well for the silver. With cover here she will be finishing off hard.
SELECTIONS: OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (1), SAND SAFARI (7), THE DREAM MAKER (10), VANTO HANOVER (2) SUGGESTED BET:
