RACE TWO
THERESACHANCE (2) held the front over the 1780m trip last start and ran along at a strong tempo and couldn’t see it out when fading late. He found his race at AP 4 starts back and his next 2 were in much stronger contests. He can look for the pegs and try to take them all the way. GREGS LEGACY (5) started from the 2nd line last start and looked to be in with a good chance. Finding the pocket trail he chased home to hold the silver behind the all-the-way-winner THE NEXT STAR. Fitter for the run after being freshened, he can look to issue a challenge. TOOK YOUR TIME (6) still has the outside draw but didn’t let that affect his chances last start when finishing over the top to score a nice win last time. Finding position without getting too far back, he can finish hard. BROADWATER (7) made the most of the ace last start and took them all the way to a stylish win. He will need some luck from this gate but if able to spot an opening will be sprinting hard. SELECTIONS: THERESACHANCE (2), GREGS LEGACY (5), TOOK YOUR TIME (6), BROADWATER (7) SUGGESTED BET: THERESACHANCE (2) to win
RACE THREE
TIWANAKU (2) returns from a freshen and will have just his 2nd Qld start. Stepping out back on Aug 3 at his Qld debut he looked to take them all the way over the AP 2138m trip when grabbed in the closing stages. Looking for the pegs he can look to dictate here. DAPPER (4) was hitting the line nicely last start to be within 5m of the winner SAMMYSLUCK who grabbed the win up the passing lane. That followed a tough run when cutting the breeze while 3 back he was 2m from the winner. He can ask the questions here.
MACH SAM (8) has been facing some tough gates in stronger line-ups than what he meets here and with even luck in transit can be an improver. Luckless last start when buried away this looks more suitable. MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (1) has started twice in Qld since returning from a break with is latest effort much sharper than his return run. With the benefit of the inside gate he can be thereabouts. SELECTIONS: TIWANAKU (2), DAPPER (4), MACH SAM (8), MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (1) SUGGESTED BET: TIWANAKU (2) to win
RACE FOUR GOODTIME STRIDE (5) has placed in 3 of her past 4 starts and been no closer than gate 5 in any of those. Last start over the AP 2138m trip she was charging home with her own last 800m in 55.4 to grab the silver behind HARD TO HEAR. This is the easiest assignment she has found in a long time and can capitalise. TAP IT IN (4) circled them to get to the breeze last start from gate 8 and was in for the fight when 3m from the winner FEEL THE REIGN. Fitter following 2 runs back from a let-up, he can look to get forward again here and will be in the firing line. NEVAEH (8) was hitting the line strongly 2 starts back and went within 2m of the winner HAVETOGETAWAYMORE. From the gate she can find a nice trail and has podium claims. BUKTHSYSTEM (6) has no favours from this alley and had to overcome the same alley last start when too far back in the run. His previous 2 were sound including a win 3 back and he can chime into the exotics.
SELECTIONS: GOODTIME STRIDE (5), TAP IT IN (4), NEVAEH (8), BUKTHSYSTEM (6) SUGGESTED BET: GOODTIME STRIDE (5) to win
RACE FIVE LIVING GRAND (6) looks well placed in this line-up and despite the wide gate looks to get his chance for a breakthrough. Laying down a challenge from the breeze here last start off gate 5, he went within a head of the winner CIRCLE LINE. Pressing ahead he looks too strong for this field. DIABOLO STAR (1) did some early work last start before fading off and being well beaten behind TUESDAYS FELLA. He has met some handy performers his past 3 including defeats behind SPRING CAMPAIGN and LILAC FLASH. This is more suitable and from the gate he gets every chance. MIRACLESDOAPPEN (7) will need her share of luck from the gate but with a cosy trip can be searching for the gaps to issue a closing challenge. A winner 2 back when leading throughout, she has claims. CAESARS ASTRUM (2) tried to take them all the way at AP on Mon and led them deep into the stretch before being claimed late. From this alley she will be gripping on again. SELECTIONS: LIVING GRAND (6), DIABOLO STAR (1), MIRACLESDOAPPEN (7), CAESARS ASTRUM (2) SUGGESTED BET: LIVING GRAND (6) to win
RACE SIX MINI MIRACLE (7) can look to get away from the pegs early as the sole 2nd line runner and with plenty of front-line pressure can look to sprint home over the top. Looking to take them all the way off gate 1 last start she was grabbed late up the passing lane. She can steam home to victory. FEEL THE REIGN (6) has been impressive since returning from a spell with victories in 2 of 4 starts and placings in the other 2. Circling the field to find the front last start from gate 9 he packed too many guns once in front. The gate makes it tricky, yet with even luck he is right in this. LETHAL PROMISE (5) chalked up another minor placing last start to make it placings in his past 13 in succession. Despite another wide gate he can get forward to apply some pressure and will fight hard. OSCARS GLORY (2) worked forward to the breeze from gate 4 last start over the 2040m trip and was in for the fight. From this gate he can look for the pegs and controlling will be gripping on.
SELECTIONS: MINI MIRACLE (7), FEEL THE REIGN (6), LETHAL PROMISE (5), OSCARS GLORY (2) SUGGESTED BET: MINI MIRACLE (7) to win
RACE SEVEN
DONT BE JEALOUS (8) was taken to Tamworth last start and after settling mid-field struggled to make an impact with the tempo favouring those near the front. Her last start here at Redcliffe was a tidy effort after being snagged back from gate 5 and this looks within reach. WHATA STRIDE (2) held the pegs before releasing here 2 starts back and from the pocket trail went within a half-head of victory. Forget her last start when she wasn’t suited and tailed off, from this gate she can be much sharper. MARTHAS VINEYARD (5) has done plenty wrong in the early stages of her 2 starts since arriving in Qld, however her 1st up run had merit. If she can get the start right, she can be in the mix in this. IRRESTIBLE GABBY (1) will be better suited from this gate after landing some wider gates in recent starts. With the cosy trip look for an improved showing. SELECTIONS: DONT BE JEALOUS (8), WHATA STRIDE (2), MARTHAS VINEYARD (5), IRRESTIBLE GABBY (1) SUGGESTED BET: DONT BE JEALOUS (8) to win
