RACE TWO
MY ULTIMATE BONDI (8) started in red figures here last start and after never filling is starting position inside the 2nd row, then made an error. Losing a stack of ground, he finally reset, chased hard and it was an eye-catcher to be only 3m from the winner. He can bounce back with venom. LORD DIGBY (5) started his career the best way possible when swooping hard to arrive at AP for a smart win in strong time. Kept fresh since that victory, he will be 2nd up and despite the wide gate, should take great experience from the debut and can look to build on that here. SIR JUJON (2) was a maiden breaking winner here 2 starts back when sent straight to the front and cruising home to a 9m victory. Too far back in the QBRED Consolation last start, he is in the mix. VANTORI HANOVER (6) was game in the fillies Triad Final when fighting hard and finishing within 10m of the winner JIGGLE AND JIVE. A nice 3rd against older horse last start, she can chime in.
SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE BONDI (8), LORD DIGBY (5), SIR JUJON (2), VANTORI HANOVER (6) SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE BONDI (8) to win
RACE THREE
CHASIN DREAMZ (4) started from gate 10 last time out when making a wide and searching run in the closing stages to grab the bronze and finish 7m from the winner. Mid-field the start prior, she could have been closer with a bit more space and in an open contest, she can sneak away with this. HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (2) will appreciate this level of contest after taking on the Knights and Dames Final last start and fading under a hot speed in finishing mid-field behind STUDLEIGH STRIDE. Making the final after a passing lane run to be 4m from the winner, he is better suited here to challenge. MANOFLISA (1) made the most of this same gate last time out and after holding up early released the pressure and from the pocket trail held on for the silver. With a similar trip he can repeat here. VALIANT GEM (6) returns from a freshen after striking trouble last start. His run 2 back was a sound effort from gate 10. He can do some work in his races and can press ahead to ask some questions.
SELECTIONS: CHASIN DREAMZ (4), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (2), MANOFLISA (1), VALIANT GEM (6) SUGGESTED BET: CHASIN DREAMZ (4) to win
RACE FOUR ALOT OF COST (10) has put it together and will come into this with a big uplift in confidence, shooting for a hat-trick of victories. Never tested in a comfortable victory on Sun night, he was on the back-up from Wed where he led throughout. Despite the gate he looks set for a threepeat. MEANT TO BE ME (2) as able to snag into the pocket trail last start and with the cosy trip then had enough in reserve to claim a 5m victory. That win was a nice turnaround from her previous couple and with a similar run in the trail potentially available here, she can take her chances. FLASHING GOOD TIME (3) hit the line in good style from back in the pack here 3 starts back when beaten a neck. Not entirely suited the past 2, she can use her good gate speed here and has claims. SNAKES N LADDERS (1) is in danger of being locked away in transit here, but should still secure an economical trip from there. 3rd when 5m from the winner here 2 starts back, he can chime in late.
SELECTIONS: ALOT OF COST (10), MEANT TO BE ME (2), FLASHING GOOD TIME (3), SNAKES N LADDERS (1) SUGGESTED BET: ALOT OF COST (10) to win
RACE FIVE
JUMPING JOLT (3) is on the back-up from Tues at AP where he looked well placed to capitalise off a hot tempo. His run 3 back was a top effort when charging in the closing stages, while he was too far back against a slick closing tempo 2 starts back. He can extend his Redcliffe record to 2 from 2. UNASSUMING CHAMP (7) will appreciate returning to the triangle after chancing his hooves at The Creek in recent starts. A passing lane winner to claim a qualifying victory there 4 starts back, his past 2 have been against some strong opponents. With the right trip here, look for him closing hard. LONG TERM FELLA (1) will be 2nd up from a break, his return effort off the 2nd line seeing him too far back in the pack. With early speed he will have options here and can make start 100 memorable. LETS CUT LOOSE (8) will take benefit from his 1st up Qld outing and 1st run since returning from a spell. Tough in the breeze when 9m from the winner, he won’t be far away here.
SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (3), UNASSUMING CHAMP (7), LONG TERM FELLA (1), LETS CUT LOOSE (8) SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (3) to win
RACE SIX ZED CODE (1) started from the 2nd line last start and chased home to grab the bronze when 3m from the winner WEASEL. Fitter from that run after returning from a freshen, she will secure the prefect run in transit here. Coiled, she can make it a winning strike in the stretch. MATRON JUJON (3) snagged back from gate 5 last start and in a race that was opened up at the 400m, she was left flat-footed. Rolling the sleeves to fight it out from the breeze 2 starts back, she went down swinging, beaten an eyelash. From the gate she will be in for the fight. RITCHIE BEE (2) took up the lamp lighting duties last start from gate 1 and keeping a steady tempo couldn’t repel the challenge of KURAHAUPO GAMBLER, holding on for 2nd. He will be gripping on. GUTS (7) sat in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start at AP and chased home for the silver behind CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT. He will get another cosy trip here and can release the belt late.
SELECTIONS: ZED CODE (1), MATRON JUJON (3), RITCHIE BEE (2), GUTS (7) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7
RACE SEVEN
HEAVENS HURRICANE (5) took on a much tougher race last start where he secured a cosy run from inside the 2nd line. With the economical trip, he chased hard to be within 4m of the winner AQUA MISS. Forced to race tough in the breeze the start prior, he fought hard and looks to get a chance here. PROJECTILE (9) was locked away against the poles last start and when sighting space, hit the line in good order to grab the bronze. Forced to retreat from gate 5 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back, he was then too far back. With even luck in transit he can be thereabouts. ELMAUR JOY (6) is racing in nice touch and was after a hat-trick last start when slammed with gate 11 over the AP mile. Hitting the line strongly, she was only 5m from the winner and can go close again. TANYAS PAST (1) was banished to the trials last start after making an error when angled into the passing lane and looking to make quick ground. If she can get it right in the lane, she won’t be far away.
SELECTIONS: HEAVENS HURRICANE (5), PROJECTILE (9), ELMAUR JOY (6), TANYAS PAST (1) SUGGESTED BET: HEAVENS HURRICANE (5) to win
RACE EIGHT HAPPY FEELINGS (1) landed this gate over the AP 2138m trip 7 starts back and looking to go all the way was only collared in the closing stages. 5 of her past 6 starts have been from gates 5 or wider, with this alley to be well received. She found the line nicely last start and looks to get her chance. AINTNOBETTOR (7) covered plenty of the AP oval last start when wide for a long way and fought hard to be within 11m of the winner after the tough trip. Finding the line well from gate 10 and driven for luck here 2 starts back, he should gain a perfect trip here to take the closing shot. LURAH (10) is racing consistently and has been top-three in 9 of her past 13 outings. A passing lane winner last Thurs, she then backed that up with 3rd behind the smart ELLE YEAH last start and will rattle home here. RANDOM TASK (6) has no favours from the wide gate here but if able to limit the early burn can be chiming in. In for the fight from the breeze last start when within 3m of PROFICIENT, he can be in the mix again.
SELECTIONS: HAPPY FEELINGS (1), AINTNOBETTOR (7), LURAH (10), RANDOM TASK (6) SUGGESTED BET: HAPPY FEELINGS (1) to win
RACE NINE BURNING AMBITION (1) bounced back to some form and was shooting for a hat-trick of victories after securing successive wins over this trip, the latest when using the passing lane to arrive. Too far back from the 2nd line in a mares qualifier last start, she should secure a perfect trip here. THUNDER MAC (10) was after his own hat-trick in the Knights and Dames Final last start when starting from this same gate. Making his move with cover when wide off the track, he had no answer for the big win of STUDLEIGH STRIDE, finishing best of the rest. He will track home strongly again. TROUBLESOME DAVE (7) retreated from gate 6 last start in the same race claimed by STUDLEIGH STRIDE and fought on for 3rd. With an economical trip on offer, he can be ready to take the closing shot. RUTHLESS ARMBRO (5) went back early from gate 7 in a stronger race than this in Sat night company and was strong to the line behind A GOOD CHANCE. Tough in the breeze 2 back, he will ask some questions here.
SELECTIONS: BURNING AMBITION (1), THUNDER MAC (10), TROUBLESOME DAVE (7), RUTHLESS ARMBRO (5) SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-5-7-10
