Racing Queensland has advised that Wednesday’s scheduled leg of the National Apprentice Race Series at Doomben will no longer proceed due to the impacts of COVID-19.
The $45k Benchmark 68 1350m will remain on the program as scheduled, however, and will now be conducted under standard conditions with all riders (Jockeys and Apprentices) eligible.
Metropolitan claims for apprentices will apply.
A decision on all future legs of the 2020 National Apprentice Race Series is expected to be determined later this week by the participating racing authorities.
