Racing Queensland confirms that there will be official trials conducted at Ipswich Turf Club on Monday 30 March, prior to the return to racing at the venue on 8 April.
The trials follow the track refurbishment and irrigation project which has been ongoing at the venue since November 2019.
The meeting’s program will comprise a series of heats over 800m & 1000m in which a maximum of 50 horses will be permitted to trial. Should nomination numbers exceed 50, the following preferential order will be applied:
Horses trained at Ipswich TC will also be given preference for heat selection purposes.
Trainers are advised that for the purposes of application of this criteria it is important to note on your nomination with Racing Australia that, if applicable, the horse is trialling for the purposes of obtaining a barrier certificate – irrespective of the horse’s age.
The trials will commence circa 9:00am and nominations will close at 12pm, Friday 27 March.
