RACE TWO
PERFECT FEELING (2) has been doing a great job in these types of races and again finds himself well-placed in a similar line-up to what he has been meeting and beating. Shooting for the hat-trick of victories, he was too strong from gate 5 last start and with the early speed looks set to dictate again. WHERES TASCOTT (5) found the 1x1 trail from gate 4 here 2 starts back and with the nice run in transit, was able to finish best in claiming a narrow victory. Within 3m of victory in a blanket finish at her latest start, she can be thereabouts again despite the wide gate. DOWTOWN LUCCA (4) might find this a little easier than his last start when down the line over the AP mile with the closing speed putting them just out of reach. Only a head away 2 starts back, he has claims. PRIVATE JUJON (1) has ended up too far back to chase at his past 2. With the benefit of the inside line, he can secure an economical run in transit to be probing for openings. SELECTIONS: PERFECT FEELING (2), WHERES TASCOTT (5), DOWTOWN LUCCA (4), PRIVATE JUJON (1) SUGGESTED BET: PERFECT FEELING (2) to win
RACE THREE
TUAPEKA LIGHT (4) has been to the track 3 times this campaign following a 12-month stint on the sidelines. Luckless when probing for gaps 2 starts back when chasing home behind GOOD AS IT GETS, she didn’t have the smoothest passage last start. Back to mares only company, she looks too strong. CHROMOZONE (1) has not had things go her way from the start in recent outings, forced to restrain from wide gates or buried in the run from the 2nd line. A winner in a similar race to this 6 starts back when dictating in front, she has the speed to have the available options to challenge in this. DAPPER BESSIE (7) has returned from a spell in great style with 2 wins in 3 starts since returning. Finding the front last start from gate 2 and taking them all the way, she will get a great trip. DE VOYAGE (8) looked to have found her race last start and after a perfect trip in the pocket trail couldn’t deliver a closing shot, finishing 2m in arrears in a blanket finish. Back to the triangle suits.
SELECTIONS: TUAPEKA LIGHT (4), CHROMOZONE (1), DAPPER BESSIE (7), DE VOYAGE (8) SUGGESTED BET: TUAPEKA LIGHT (4) to win
RACE FOUR SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT (4) had been knocking on the door with some handy efforts and last start found conditions to burst through in claiming his 1st victory in some time. Using the passing line to deliver the winning shot over the AP mile, he has good early speed and looks well-placed to repeat. FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (6) has the wide gate to overcome, yet should find this an easier assignment than her past 2 starts. Buried in the run from gate 1 last start over the AP mile, she was too far back to issue a challenge. With 3 wins in 7 starts here at Redcliffe, she will be in the mix. JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5) was eased in the early stages last start to find position when closing in good order to grab the silver behind MONTANA EXPRESS. The gate stings, but he has podium claims. AROONA (3) has placed in 3 of his past 4 starts, the latest when attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to be within a half-neck of the prize. With the right trip he can be chiming in.
SELECTIONS: SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT (4), FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (6), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5), AROONA (3) SUGGESTED BET: SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT (4) to win
RACE FIVE
CAM YOU FEEL IT (4) has been freshened since his latest appearance where he was obliged to dig in for the tough stuff outside the leader. In for the fight he was able to hold on for silver which had followed a nice effort the start prior when 2nd after striking trouble. He is worth a chance in a tricky contest. A BETTER CHANCE (2) eased from gate 5 over the AP mile last start and was hitting the line strongly when 8m in arrears of the winner, SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT. Not suited the start prior when unable to find position and forced to retreat, she was sent for a break after that run. With added fitness, she can challenge. SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (8) didn’t have any early speed out of the machine last start when 1st up in close to 12 months. Holding on for 3rd, he will be fitter for the outing and can chime in here. BARONE (6) was 1st up for his 3YO term when making a late play to grab the silver over the AP mile. The effort was franked here 2nd up when making the closing shot a winner. The gate stings.
SELECTIONS: CAM YOU FEEL IT (4), A BETTER CHANCE (2), SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (8), BARONE (6) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SIX IAM THE JOKER (2) fired off the arm last start to take control and set a sharp tempo in front over the 1660m at The Creek, fading in the closing stages. Grabbed late the start prior when not too far from the subsequent winner GOOD AS IT GETS, he can take control here and looks to get his chance. MISSINMEMATE (6) has worked into some form with wins in 2 of his past 3 outings. Taking the 1x1 trail here 3 starts back, he had bullets to fire in the closing stages in scoring a 3m victory before striking trouble at his next start. Bouncing back with a narrow victory last start, he can challenge despite the gate. PILOT PETE (5) is working his way toward a victory after placing at his past 2 attempts. Sent forward from this gate last start, he rolled the sleeves and was fighting when within an eyelash of victory. He can throw it down again here. STUDLEIGH WILL (7) might find this a little easier than his last attempt when fading after a tough run in a 2nd division qualifier. With a cheap run against the poles, he will be probing for the openings.
SELECTIONS: IAM THE JOKER (2), MISSINMEMATE (6), PILOT PETE (5), STUDLEIGH WILL (7) SUGGESTED BET: IAM THE JOKER (2) to win
RACE SEVEN FRENCH GLOBE (1) was a winner here 3 starts back when hustling through in the early stages from this gate to take control over the 2040m trip. Once in front, he was able to fight them off to claim the prize. Beaten by tough gates at his next 2, he can utilise his early speed and give them something to chase. NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8) had a shot at AP last start and although finishing last, it was a tidy effort behind an in-form GOOD AS IT GETS. A winner here 3 starts back when using the passing lane, she has a great record on this track and from this gate will be swooping home in the closing stages. ONLY IN ROME (6) does not receive any favours from this gate, yet he is great touch with placings in all 3 starts since his latest victory here 4 starts back. Grabbed late over the 2138m at AP last start, he will be in for the fight again. BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (7) was a winner here 3 starts back when making the most of the two-hole to pounce on the poles and take them all the way. With a cosy run, he will be ready to strike.
SELECTIONS: FRENCH GLOBE (1), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8), ONLY IN ROME (6), BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (7) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-7-8
RACE EIGHT BURMACH (2) pressed ahead to find the front from this gate last start and once in control took them all the way to claim a qualifying victory. Zipping home a nice closing 800m over the 2040m trip, it had followed a tough run in the breeze from gate 5. Taking control here, he can look to dictate. SHOWEM SIMON (4) was looking to complete a hat-trick of victories last start when sent to the post as fav. Wide off the track from a 2nd line gate, he was 6m in arrears of the passing lane winner LOYOLA TRIOS. Too strong in the breeze 2 starts back, he will be right in the fight. CHINOOK WINDS (1) sat in the pocket trail in a strong mares race here on Sat night and with the benefit of the cosy trip, held on for the bronze behind SAINT KILDA BEACH. With a similar trip, she can return a similar result.
JUST JOSHIN (6) has been banished to the ODM position after an early infringement last start when taking on a qualifier. Hitting the line strongly 2 starts back when a half-neck from the winner THE MONEY BALL, he can be chiming in here.
SELECTIONS: BURMACH (2), SHOWEM SIMON (4), CHINOOK WINDS (1), JUST JOSHIN (6) SUGGESTED BET: BURMACH (2) to win
RACE NINE ROCKNTINGIRA (3) is yet to find his way down victory lane in Qld, however he may have found he right conditions to remedy that here. Angled to the pegs last start, he closed out nicely when 2m in arrears and 2 starts back was not too far off them in a smart last 800m. From the gate he looks to get his chance in this line-up. MONTANA EXPRESS (6) made the most of a perfect run in transit last start over the AP mile to sweep home down the centre of the track in a slick last 400m to claim the prize. Tough in the breeze the start prior when only a neck from the winner. He can overcome the gate to issue the challenge. NIKALONG HENRY (8) was too tough for them last start when rolling forward to the breeze and holding on for a gritty win. That form was franked with the runner-up TINKA TERROR winning her net start and he will be grafting away again here. TOO GOOD FOR YOU (1) was snagged back from gate 7 last start to look for some luck over the AP mile. Not too far away, he will appreciate an improved gate here and is one for the exotic players.
SELECTIONS: ROCKNTINGIRA (3), MONTANA EXPRESS (6), NIKALONG HENRY (8), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (1) SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNTINGIRA (3) to win
