RACE TWO
SHADYS DELIGHT (5) eased from gate 6 over the mile last time out and was attacking the line in good order to grab the bronze in the Marburg to Albion Final. Stuck behind the leader and unable to offer in the heat of that series, he faces a sticky alley here but with some early tempo can arrive. BONNIES CAM (4) rolled the sleeves to do it the tough way last start at Marburg and was in for the fight when grafting out a 3rd placing. Charging home wide out the start prior from the 2nd line and only a half-head from the winner, he can look to throw it down again here. FROST EN ICE (3) eased from gate 5 last start at The Creek and was attacking the line in style to grab the bronze behind MATAU JESS. Fitter again after 3 runs back from a break, she takes her 1st race look at The Triangle but has trialled sharply here prior to her latest campaign starting. WANJIRU (6) has no favours from the wide gate yet she has been in nice touch in recent starts. Doing her share of early work prior to receiving cover last start, she was only 6m from the winner PACIFIC COIN. She can be thereabouts again. SELECTIONS: SHADYS DELIGHT (5), BONNIES CAM (4), FROST EN ICE (3), WANJIRU (6) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE
WHATELEY (7) will need some factors in his favour from inside the 2nd line but if the map goes his way, he can be coiled and ready to strike. A 1st up winner when returning from a spell 5 runs back, his runs have been spaced as he battles tractability. Hitting the line strongly last start when within 3m of the winner, he can arrive. FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (1) eased from gate 4 last time out to find position and with it turning into a last panel blitz, he was left a little flat footed. Too far back the start prior when KWASII blew the field open, he can look to capitalise from this gate and hustling early can try to see it out. APACHE WHITESOX (5) broke his maiden status here 3 runs back when finishing over the top and defeating subsequent winner DESTINY JANE. Not that far away last start over the AP mile, he can chime in off the tough gate. BEEF CITY STARZZZ (3) was away from the inside last start at Marburg and was looking to make an impression in the closing stages when 5m in arrears. Settling close to the action he can feature.
SELECTIONS: WHATELEY (7), FORBIDDEN FEELINGS (1), APACHE WHITESOX (5), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (3) SUGGESTED BET: WHATELEY (7) to win
RACE FOUR ALL GOOD WALLY (3) started fav last time at Marburg from gate 2 but had no early hustle and settling in the 1x1 it was a muddling run when 5m in arrears of the winner. Too tough for them here 2 starts back when cutting the breeze, he can press forward early to look to capitalise on the gate advantage over the main rivals. COBBLER LANE (9) has no favours from the tough gate but should find this easier than recent assignments. Snagged back from gate 6 over the AP mile last start, he was too far back as LARRY LINCOLN arrived up the passing lane. Luckless the start prior from gate 4 when hitting dead-ends, he looms large here. STONE CRACKER (5) is another that will find this a shade or two below the opposition he has been meeting of late. Closing in good order after retreating from gate 6 last time, he was runner-up to the in-form IL MAXIMUS 3 starts back. FIRE ME UP (8) has been around The Triangle twice for no return previously, yet lines up here improved from recent performances. A passing lane winner last start at The Creek, she can be joining in here.
SELECTIONS: ALL GOOD WALLY (3), COBBLER LANE (9), STONE CRACKER (5), FIRE ME UP (8) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FIVE ALWAYS AT NIGHT (3) was too strong for them here 3 starts back when content to sit outside the leader. Cruising to the line a comfortable 4m victor, he followed that with a tough run again when not that far away. On the back-up from Friday night where he looked a strong chance, this looks within his reach. GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7) was obliged to do it the tough way last start at Marburg from gate 3 when facing he breeze. IN for the fight, he loomed up only to be collared in the closing strides by CANNAN. Too far back the start prior, he will be relying on a rub of the green here to find the space. ARCHILLES (8) made the most of an improved gate on Wednesday night to lead them all the way. Pressing ahead to take control from gate 4, he held off the challengers in taking a 3m victory. He can join in again here. BARBOO (4) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last time out when sent out as the fav. Not finding the gaps to offer, he finished mid-field. Settling closer he can feature in this line-up.
SELECTIONS: ALWAYS AT NIGHT (3), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7), ARCHILLES (8), BARBOO (4) SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS AT NIGHT (3) to win
RACE SIX PATCHWORK JET (2) has faced a string of 2nd line gates in recent starts that have made it tricky for him to make a meaningful challenge. The improved gate looks a big advantage here where he can look to take on the lamp lighting duties. Pinching a panel, he looks to get every chance in this. CHUMP CHOP (6) secured the prefect trip in behind the leader here last time out and when the gap presented was able to sprint fast to claim the prize. Eased from gate 6 the start prior, he was closing out in good order when 6m from the winner PIN CODE. The gate burns, but with even luck can make a play. BLISSFULDAY (7) did his share of work last start when down the line over the AP mile behind MATAU JESS. Grabbed in the closing stages 2 starts back when leading them up, he will be searching for gaps. A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (3) pressed on to get up outside the leader last time out over the AP mile when folding up late to be mid-field. Tough here 2 back when only 4m away, he will likely be rolling he sleeves again here. SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (2), CHUMP CHOP (6), BLISSFULDAY (7), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (3) SUGGESTED BET: PATCHWORK JET (2) to win
RACE SEVEN
BURMACH (4) went around Thursday where a tough alley hampered his chances and he went to the line in gridlock, unable to have a shot at them. Snagged back from gate 6 here 2 starts back, he was hitting the line in nice order when not that far from the winner WICKED AZZ. He can look to fire off the arm and settling forward can give this tricky contest a shake. BET IM SPECIAL (7) has hit the board in 5 of his past 7, the latest when gunned down in the closing strides after setting the tempo over the 2040m. LA PLAYER arrived to claim a 2m victory in that and with options as the lone 2nd line runner in this, he can play inside or out to throw in a challenge. MAJORDOIT (2) will be further tightened after 2 runs back from a break, the latest of those on Friday night at The Creek. Not much went in his favour when 1st up behind BURMACH at Marburg bit from this gate he can feature. FRANCISCO DE GORE (1) looked to take advantage of gate 1 last start at Marburg when setting the tempo in front. After walking them the 2nd panel, he could not finish them off when 2m from the winner. The gate helps.
SELECTIONS: BURMACH (4), BET IM SPECIAL (7), MAJORDOIT (2), FRANCISCO DE GORE (1) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7
RACE EIGHT ROUSEY (5) arrives in Qld to join the Jonah Hutchinson barn. Striking trouble at her last start that saw her banished to the trials, she has earned the return with an eye-catching hit-out in smart time. If she can replicate the trial form 1st up in this, her opponents will be looking to tap out. TEACHERS PET (6) was sent forward from a wide gate last time out at Marburg and was able to find the front to take control. Never in danger thereafter, she cruised home to a big 15m victory. The wide gate does her no favours again here, but she looks best of the rest. WHATA REACTOR (9) faces a tough gate here and backs up from Thursday. Forced to race tough here 2 starts back when mid-field, she can be looking to join into the minor money. ITS YOU NOT ME (8) looked to take them all the way here 3 starts back when fading late to hang on for the bronze. Only 5m away at his next outing, he can press through here and is a place chance.
SELECTIONS: ROUSEY (5), TEACHERS PET (6), WHATA REACTOR (9), ITS YOU NOT ME (8) SUGGESTED BET: ROUSEY (5) to win
