RACE TWO
HIGH ON MONTANA (5) did not have the early hustle from the ace last start and was soon buried in the run. Hitting gridlock when needing space, he was 9m in arrears of the winner MONTANA LAD. Working home from back in the pack the start prior, the gate stings but this still looks within reach. DOOLITTLE DANDY (7) was wide for a long way from gate 6 here 2 starts back and kept giving to the wire when 5m from the passing lane winner JENUFLECTION. Starting from gate 8 last start, he worked home strongly wide off the track and swept on by for a smart 5m victory. He can snipe. ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (1) worked to the front from gate 2 last start when looking to take them all the way. Fading in the closing stages to be 5m from the winner, he has the options this time. MISTER COLE (6) has no favours from the wide gate but he comes back to this level after meeting stronger opponents in recent outings. Grabbed late over the 2138m trip last start, he is in the mix. SELECTIONS: HIGH ON MONTANA (5), DOOLITTLE DANDY (7), ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (1), MISTER COLE (6) SUGGESTED BET: HIGH ON MONTANA (5) to win
RACE THREE
HANOVER LECTER (3) has placed in 4 of her 5 career starts, the only miss coming last time when 4th behind the smart filly DANCE IN THE SUN. From the pocket trail the start prior she was a 2n 2nd to TEE JAY CEE and with the gate advantage over her main dangers here can look to capitalise. TEE JAY CEE (8) will appreciate a return to this level after taking on some of the better performed 2YOs last start when down the line behind DANCE IN THE SUN. Sent to the front and taking them all the way the start prior when 1st up from a break, this is his 1st outing on The Triangle. MONTANA MYSTIQUE (4) will be further tightened from her latest appearance when beaten a lip in a blanket finish. Finding the line nicely the start prior behind TEE JAY CEE, she is in the mix here. OCTOBER RACKETEER (9) features in a stable switch and will line up for Karen Schulz. Buried away last start from inside the 2nd line, he was too strong for them late over the 2040m here 2 starts back and can join in late.
SELECTIONS: HANOVER LECTER (3), TEE JAY CEE (8), MONTANA MYSTIQUE (4), OCTOBER RACKETEER (9) SUGGESTED BET: HANOVER LECTER (3) to win
RACE FOUR ABERCROMBIE TAB (2) did it the tough way 2 starts back when sitting outside the leader from gate 6 and working hard was in the fight when within 2m of the winner BEYOND A SHADOW. He would have been closer if the gaps arrived the start prior and this looks an ideal chance to capitalise.
ROWDYS ACE (5) was content to face the breeze over the sprint trip last start and controlling the tempo from there had all the answers to claim a 3m victory in a tidy rate. A winner 4 starts back when leading them all the way, he may need to roll the sleeves again but is up to the challenge. ASHLEE NITRO (8) eased from gate 5 last start to settle back in the pack over the 1780m. Presenting wider off the track, she had bullets to fire when sweeping over the top to score. A winner at 22 of her past 4, she can get a similar trip here. BEYOND A SHADOW (7) was 2nd up from a break last start when holding the pocket trail from this gate and then using the passing lane to score. Likely needing some luck, she can be probing late.
SELECTIONS: ABERCROMBIE TAB (2), ROWDYS ACE (5), ASHLEE NITRO (8), BEYOND A SHADOW (7) SUGGESTED BET: ABERCROMBIE TAB (2) to win
RACE FIVE LEAPING LEO (2) was buried in the run last start from inside the 2nd line and was closing out strongly in the closing stages to get within 5m of the winner ARCHILLES. A beaten fav the start prior, he comes up with the good alley here and settling close to the action looks to get a chance to breakthrough. DUKE (8) was running up behind them last start searching for some space but did not sight the gaps when needed. Buried on the pegs 2 starts back when searching for space, he was probing late to grab the silver behind MISTER ARTIKULATE. With even luck in transit, he strikes a winnable contest. ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9) should be wound up for this as he steps out for his 3rd run in 6 days. A winner here 4 starts back, he was grabbed late on Friday after leading from 7 and followed that with a tough 3rd when working in the breeze on Sunday. The gate stings but he can feature. TORQUE TO THE MAX (7) was a winner here 4 starts back when finishing over the top and claiming a 3m victory. 3rd here 2 starts back, she was a 2m 2nd here on Sunday after leading them up and will be probing for space here.
SELECTIONS: LEAPING LEO (2), DUKE (8), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9), TORQUE TO THE MAX (7) SUGGESTED BET: LEAPING LEO (2) to win
RACE SIX ROUSEY (2) the human was adept in the octagon and the equine version proved The Triangle was her fortress when blasting them off the track 1st to score a huge 52m victory here on Sunday night when controlling out in front. A strong trial performance franked the win and from the gate she can look to put them into submission once again. ELLE JAY (3) pressed forward to lead from gate 5 last time out over the 1780m. With the bad conditions she was trying to fight them off but was forced to settle for the silver as LORD DENZEL arrived for the prize. Hitting the board her past 5 in succession, she will get forward to challenge. TEACHERS PET (4) made the most of conditions 2 starts back at Marburg when sent to the front and dictating the lesson cruised home to a 15m victory. Down the line behind ROUSEY on Sunday night, she is a place hope. SCHOOBY (1) did not have the smoothest passage last start and was back in the pack as LORD DENZEL claimed victory. A winner here 2 starts back from the pocket trail, a similar trip looks available. SELECTIONS: ROUSEY (2), ELLE JAY (3), TEACHERS PET (4), SCHOOBY (1) SUGGESTED BET: ROUSEY (2) to win
RACE SEVEN
MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9) has faced the starter on 3 occasions through the Winter and resumes here. Opening his career with a 3rd to CHAMONIX he followed that with a sound effort after working hard in the run. Back with Smith after 1 run for Jarrod Alchin, he has stepped out smartly in a pair of preparatory trials and can overcome the gate 1st up. KISSESFORYAMISSES (2) was 1st up off a spell last start when sent forward to the breeze over the AP mile after starting from the 2nd line. In for the fight she was working hard in the run and went down fighting when beaten an eyelash. Fitter from that run and with the improved gate she can challenge. ROCK STAR BABE (4) was best of the chasers behind BIG GEM MONTANA last time out who had the whole field chasing. The gate makes it a little tricky, but she can be thereabouts. ESTARDAY (8) has placed in both starts, the latest when chasing home for the bronze behind the big winner BIG GEM MONTANA. Another 2nd line gate does not help, but she can feature again.
SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9), KISSESFORYAMISSES (2), ROCK STAR BABE (4), ESTARDAY (8) SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9) to win
RACE EIGHT A tough maiden to dissect here with a combined total of 195 starts between them. IAM ROCHELLES ART (2) can look to capitalise on the good alley here to display her early speed. Holding on for 3rd behind the big winner DESTINY JANE last start, she gets a chance to open her account from this alley. CENTRAL ARK (6) is a 2YO taking on the older campaigners here and is not aided by a wide gate. Down the line last start when tackling a 2040m event, it followed an error that ended his chances in the G1 APG Sales Final. The gate stings but he is still up to this with the right run in transit. SHESA PEARLA (1) returns from a long break after her last start came back in April of 2019. Down the line in 4 career starts all on this track, she has opened the pipes in a recent trial. The gate helps. VALKYRIE HANOVER (7) was not that far from them last start on Fri night at headquarters when chasing home. Likely to be buried away here, she will be looking to chime into the minors.
SELECTIONS: IAM ROCHELLES ART (2), CENTRAL ARK (6), SHESA PEARLA (1), VALKYRIE HANOVER (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE NINE ZOOMAS LEGEND (7) made a successful start in Qld when winning 1st up in a mobile event over the AP mile. Going into that event off the back of a spell, his preparatory trial was sound when 6m in arrears of subsequent impressive winner ALADDIN SANE. Game in defeat after cutting the breeze last start when 6m in arrears of AVEROSS DON, he looks well-placed against this line-up. LAVROS SEGIL (1) will have the benefit of the inside line here and fitter following 3 runs back from a spell should land handy and will have available options. A beaten fav last start at Marburg, he struck trouble in the run which followed a 2nd to JETER after toiling in transit. He will be right in the fight. JETER (8) has 3 wins here at Redcliffe and was a winner under similar conditions here 4 starts back when finishing over the top to score. 3rd off 60m at his next appearance, he can be chiming in. DAVEY MAC (2) is the query runner, coming into this 1st up from NZ without a public trial to prepare. Last raced back in August, his run 3 back suggests this would not be out of reach and he stays under notice.
SELECTIONS: ZOOMAS LEGEND (7), LAVROS SEGIL (1), JETER (8), DAVEY MAC (2) SUGGESTED BET: ZOOMAS LEGEND (7) to win
