MISTER COLE (2) started from gate 1 last start when taking the pocket trail before being unable to go on with it in the latter stages. Showing some early hustle before holding on for the silver here 3 starts back, his record on this track is tidy enough for him to capitalise in this line-up.

SNOOP STRIDE (4) heads North on a Winter pilgrimage for trainer Monica Betts and resumes from a spell to tackle this first up. Last seen over the Menangle mile back in January from a wide gate, he did some early work when scoring at Bathurst 3 runs back. He can feature here fresh.

LA SAFRON (1) was wide off the track last start when closing out in good order for a sharper return than previous outings. With the benefit of the good gate, he stays in the mix in what looks an open contest.

DIVINIA BELLEZZA (2) steps out in Qld for the Ricky Thurlow stable for the first time and brings some strong form lines from Gloucester Park to this type of contest. Claiming an open mare’s event 3 starts back where the subsequent G2 winner WAINIU CREEK was among the vanquished. Opening the pipes with a smart trial, this looks within reach.

ISLAS JOY (3) tackled a Trot Rods heat last start where he was forced to work hard in the run and despite the tough trip was still within 1m of the winner YEP GOT CHOOKS. A winner at his previous 2 in succession including a tough win in breaking the Marburg track record, he can throw it down here.

BETTATHANIDEAL (6) made an early error last start ending his chances and copping the ODM embargo as a result. Buried in the run the start prior, he is 1 from 1 on The Triangle and can swoop late here.

PROSECUTION WITNESS (1) has had a tough run of gates in recent outings and should appreciate a return to the front line here. Too far back last start as VIENNA BOY arrived, he can chime in here.

RACE FOUR

GUIDO DA SIENA (5) will take some benefit from his last start when stepping out for the 1^st time in Qld off the back of a spell. Easing early from gate 7 over the AP mile, he was back in the pack and hit the line in nice order when midfield to DANCE IN THE SUN. The wide gate stings but he looks up to this.

JOVIAL JULIE (9) made the most of conditions last start when pressing forward to take control from gate 2 over the 1780m. Keeping them rolling throughout, she pulled clear to claim a smart victory with 11m to spare. Runner-up here 3 starts back from the breeze, she can chime in to challenge.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (3) was a runner-up 2 starts back when using the passing lane after a cosy trip in behind the speed. Trying to chase as DANCE IN THE SUN dictated in front last start, he is a place hope in this.

MISS MONEYBAGS (1) has been without a win in the past 12 months and while she may not be changing that status here, the gate is a big assistance in hitting the podium.

RACE FIVE

FEARLESS FAITH (6) has no favours from the wide gate, but she might just have the edge to overcome the impediment. Luckless last start when searching for a way clear, she was beaten by a 2^nd line gate in a strong 2138m event 2 starts back. With added fitness she can arrive.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (4) was a winner here 2 starts back when finishing over the top of them after starting from the 2^nd line over the 1780m. Too far back from the 2^nd line over the AP 2138m last time out, a return to the front line is in his favour and he can look to make his challenge.

KOARIA (5) is another Bathurstian arriving on the winter pilgrimage for Chris Frisby and will be first up from a spell. With a pair of trials in readiness for the return, the wide gate is not ideal, but she is a podium hope.

HIGH ON MONTANA (2) eased from gate 5 last start and soon settled back in the pack. Making a sustained run over the closing stages, he was strong to the line. Not flush with early speed, he will be poking in behind them.

RACE SIX

TEE JAY CEE (1) started from gate 4 last start and when stuck looking for position was forced to retreat. From back in the pack, he was making a strong closing play to get within an eyelash of the winner. Closing out hard the start prior when runner-up, the improved gate is a huge plus in his chances here.

DEADLY ROCKER (7) was taken back in the early stages from gate 6 last start to secure a spot before finishing over the top of them to claim a smart win. Charging home to get within a lip of the winner 4 starts back, he is set for the economical trip here and can look to take the snipers shot in the stretch.

DESPONDENT (5) eased from the start to secure position 2 starts back and was too far back to get into the fight. Again, in a rearward spot last start over the AP mile, he is 2 from 4 here at Redcliffe and can feature despite a tough gate.

BETTING BARON (9) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins on this track. Taking them all the way over the sprint trip 2 starts back, he followed that with a swooping win over the 2040m last start. The gate stings but the threepeat is achievable.

RACE SEVEN

DON HESTON (9) is chasing down his 1^st victory of the season and should appreciate a return to The Triangle after meeting some stronger opponents at The Creek in recent starts. Setting the speed last start, it was a solid tempo in front that he could not finish off as MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA arrived. 2 from 3 on this track, he can go again.

MELTON LUCKY (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last start over the AP mile and when presented to offer had enough to call on to arrive for the prize. Luckless in both starts here leading into that victory, he was behind a tiring leader 3 back and then hampered in the run at his next. He has the gate to capitalise.

MANOFLISA (6) started from this gate 3 runs back when eased in the early stages before finishing best in the latter stages to claim the prize. Only 3m away last start, he can be in the mix.

TODAYS HERO (8) is still searching for a drought busting win but continues to get close with placings in 3 of his past 4 starts. Grabbed late last start when setting the speed, he can chime in again here.

RACE EIGHT

CALCULATED RISK (1) found her race here 2 starts back when working home over the top of them to claim the prize after starting from the 2^nd line. Trying to take them all the way last start from gate 2, she was able to get a 2^nd stanza breather but could not see it out. From the gate she gets her chance.

FIRE ME UP (8) has hit the board in 3 of her past 4 starts, the latest when buried away on the poles. Making some closing ground to be 8m from the winner BETTING BARON, it followed a swooping run from gate 9 to grab the bronze behind BRONSKI MACARENA. With the right trail through she can challenge.

ABBEY DIADEMA (2) has worked int some nice form, finishing as a winner and the runner-up in her past 2 starts. Only beaten a head last start when making a closing play, she can feature again here.

WOODLANDS WONDER (5) has no favours from a wide gate here but with an even slice of luck this is not out of reach. Working home smartly last start behind LANCELOT BROMAC, he will be chiming in.

OUR GEORGE BOSTON (5) is just a 2YO taking on the older horses, but he arrives with the Bathurst pilgrims with 2 wins and 2 minors in his 6 career starts. A gritty winner 2 starts back from the breeze over the 1730m, he found the smart MY ULTIMATE BYRON too slippery last start at Menangle. The gate is not ideal, but he is up to this.

THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (4) will be looking to remain undefeated since arriving in Qld after successive wins here on The Triangle. Taking them all the way over the 2040m here 1^st up in claiming an easy 10m victory, he followed it with a swooping win last start. From the gate the threepeat is within reach.

PAGEANTRY (1) made the most of a good alley at Marburg 2 starts back to lead throughout. Setting the speed last start, he was grabbed late by THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER and has podium claims again.

MIDNIGHT QUEEN (7) tried to take them all the way last start over the AP mile but could not see it out and faded in the stretch. With the cosy trip in behind the speed here, she is podium hope.

TIMSTAR (5) hit the board for the first time in his career 2 starts back when best of the chasers behind the big winner GO AWAY. Striking trouble last start at Marburg, he can be thereabouts.
