  • This update is for NSW trainers, jockeys, drivers and owners looking to enter Queensland for this weekend’s racing and follows the Queensland Government’s announcement on June 23, 2021.
  • The NSW Local Government Area of Waverley is a current COVID-19 hotspot and entry to Queensland is not permitted.
  • Effective 1am June 24, 2021, all LGAs within the Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and Shellharbour regions of NSW will also be declared as COVID-19 hotspots.
  • NSW participants from LGAs within these regions can enter Queensland before 1am June 24 without the need to quarantine, unless they have been in the LGA of Waverley (current hotspot) or an inter-state exposure venue in the past 14 days.
  • After 1am June 24, NSW participants who have been in any of the LGAs within these regions in the last 14 days will not be permitted to enter Queensland.
  • RQ require NSW participants arriving from any LGAs within these regions before 1am June 24 (and since 1am June 21) to undergo a COVID-19 test and return a negative result prior to competing in Queensland. RQ will provide a pop-up clinic at Doomben Racecourse (Nudgee Road entrance) on June 24 between 1pm and 3pm for this purpose.
  • Participants are directed to this link to apply for a Queensland Border Declaration Pass | Queensland Government (www.qld.gov.au) to facilitate entry into Queensland.
