RACE TWO
HANDSOME HARRY (9) took his first look at this track start when sent to the post as the favourite off the back of 2 successive wins at Marburg since arriving in Qld. From the pocket trail he was trying to mount a late rally when 1.5m in arrears. With even luck in transit, he can arrive here. OUR BOY BOBBY (1) was resuming from a freshen last start when nothing went his way and after being unable to secure position added a gait error to end his night. Back to the inside line opens options here and although only lightly raced, he can look to throw it down to them here. BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5) has been hitting some good areas here on The Triangle, finishing in the quinella at his past 5 in succession. Leading throughout over this trip last start, the gate will make it a little tougher. DONNY JONES (8) settled back in the pack from the 2nd line over this trip last start and making one swooping play was able to grab 3rd behind BRIAN CHRISTOPHER. A repeat effort can land another podium finish. SELECTIONS: HANDSOME HARRY (9), OUR BOY BOBBY (1), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5), DONNY JONES (8) SUGGESTED BET: HANDSOME HARRY (9) to win
RACE THREE GODDESS JUJON (1) sat 3 back against the poles last time out and chased hard to hold on for the bronze behind OUR LITTLE DIGGER. Trying to take them all the way here 2 starts back from this gate over the sprint trip, she has the options to take advantage of this alley. OUR LITTLE DIGGER (4) has been a model of consistency and was able to secure the perfect trip for his pattern last time out. Tagging the leader every step over this trip, when angled into open road in the stretch, he sprinted sharply to score. The gate makes it tricky, but he can make a challenge. KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (2) started from gate 6 last time out and after easing to secure position in the early stages was strong to the line when 5m in arrears. With an improved gate he can feature. GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (7) returns from a spell and lines up for Graeme Harris. Last seen in the Triad Final when beaten by gate 12 as WILL THE WIZARD scored. With an easy trip first up, he can be thereabouts. SELECTIONS: GODDESS JUJON (1), OUR LITTLE DIGGER (4), KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (2), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FOUR A fair bit of front-line speed in this battle will certainly make it keenly contested to the first turn. With the options that BARBOO (1) can call on from this alley he should be right in the mix. Placed at his past 6 in succession, he was collared late here last start when beaten a head and will be close again. ILLBEWATCHING (2) was sent forward from a wide gate last start and content to sit parked then proved too strong for his rivals in claiming the prize. 3m from the winner here 2 starts back, can take an early shot with his speed and near the pointy end can be throwing down the challenge. FLEETING FEELGOOD (7) was building towards a win after finishing as the runner-up here in successive starts and franked that when taking them all the way last time. Relying on some factors from this alley, he can be chiming in. TUAKANA (3) was pegged away last start at The Creek when not too far away from the winner AYE AYE CAPTAIN. Midfield the start prior, this is a minor step back from what he has faced in recent outings and is right in the fight. SELECTIONS: BARBOO (1), ILLBEWATCHING (2), FLEETING FEELGOOD (7), TUAKANA (3) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7
RACE FIVE RAINBOW JET (2) is still looking for his first win of the season and might have finally found the race for the breakthrough. Luckless last start over the AP mile when within 3m of the winner but with a clearer path could have been much closer. Placed his previous 5 in succession, he can strike. KETTERING GIRL (1) made a costly error at Marburg 2 starts back and then last start settled in the running line but could not go on with it in the latter stages. From the gate she can lands all the options and can make a challenge in this grade. HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (3) has been runner-up at his past 2 outings, the latest when hitting the line smartly to be within a neck of the winner. Chasing behind THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER the start prior, he can feature. KARAOKE ROCK (8) has form around the North-West of NSW where he was down the line last time out over the Tamworth 1980m. With the right trail he can feature in this line up. SELECTIONS: RAINBOW JET (2), KETTERING GIRL (1), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (3), KARAOKE ROCK (8) SUGGESTED BET: RAINBOW JET (2) to win
RACE SIX LIFEINHEAVEN (1) was asked to do it tough last start when sitting parked after rolling forward from gate 5. Not suited by doing the work, she faded in the closing stages. Placed her previous 2 including a 2m 3rd behind BETTOR SPORT, she has all the favours from this alley to capitalise. LETS BLAZE (7) should appreciate a return to this grade of contest but will be requiring a slice of luck at some point as he looks set to be pegged away 3 back on the poles. Working home in nice order over the mile 2 starts back behind MY ULTIMATE LEVI, he will be probing for gaps here. DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6) found suitable conditions last start from gate 1 and was able to hustle through and take them all the way. The wide gate stings but she can be chiming in. BEE A BLESSING (2) fired off the arm to take control from gate 3 over the AP mile 3 starts back and from the front held on to claim victory by a half-neck. Firing the early shots, she will be gripping on. SELECTIONS: LIFEINHEAVEN (1), LETS BLAZE (7), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6), BEE A BLESSING (2) SUGGESTED BET: LIFEINHEAVEN (1) to win
RACE SEVEN WILD ABOUT TOWN (4) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when sitting parked and fading in the latter stages but able to hold on for the bronze. Pressing to the front here 2 starts back when collared right on the line, he can get forward here and in a wide-open contest might just sneak home. KID CALVERT (2) showed some good hustle to press forward and take control here last time out and from the front was trying to fight them off when holding on for 3rd. He can take an early dip again here and either in front or releasing the speed can be ready to challenge for the prize. JAMAICAN RESORT (5) settled on the poles last start after retreating from gate 6 to secure position. Finishing best he was able to arrive for a drought breaking win. A similar trip might just net a similar return. MIDNIGHT QUEEN (7) worked to the front over the AP Mile last start but was given the stink eye in the early stages and that brought about her undoing. With a cosy trip she can chime in here. SELECTIONS: WILD ABOUT TOWN (4), KID CALVERT (2), JAMAICAN RESORT (5), MIDNIGHT QUEEN (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE EIGHT COBBITY CASTLE (5) switches to the Chris Frisby barn after hitting the board in all 4 starts here at Redcliffe. Sent forward from gate 6 last start, she was in for the fight and held on for the silver behind the 100-1 winner DATSINAHURRI. The gate stings again but she is up to the task. WHATA REACTOR (8) worked forward from gate 5 last start, but it took a toll and she faded in the closing stages after the extra work. A winner in 2 of her previous 4 starts, including a gritty win 2 runs back, she can follow through early here to make a challenge. NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (4) has good early speed and from this alley can look to fire off the arm to find the pegs. Chasing last start when midfield, she was runner-up the previous 2 from the front. BERTILS FIREFOX (3) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start and with the cosy trip made the closing play to grab the silver. Settling handy to the action, he can feature again. SELECTIONS: COBBITY CASTLE (5), WHATA REACTOR (8), NAUGHTYINHEAVEN (4), BERTILS FIREFOX (3) SUGGESTED BET: COBBITY CASTLE (5) to win
RACE NINE
SLIDE TO UNLOCK (4) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start but could not make a play when 6m from the winner ACER ANIMUS. Grabbed over the concluding stages the start prior when setting the tempo, the added experience will help, and she can look to swoop. KING OF KAOS (7) started from gate 9 last time out when working home wide off the track to be 6m in arrears of the winner. The start prior he did not have the smoothest passage when not too far away and with options hers as the lone runner from the second line, he can make a play. LIL MISS BREEZY (2) is moving closer to a moment of glory after placing at her past 2 in succession. From the front last start, she was trying to fight them off when nabbed in the last stride and from the good gate will have the target up once again. QUICK CLASSIC (6) has now placed at his past 3 in succession as he searches for the maiden breaking win. Grabbed after leading them up last time, the wide gate does him no favours here. SELECTIONS: SLIDE TO UNLOCK (4), KING OF KAOS (7), LIL MISS BREEZY (2), QUICK CLASSIC (6) SUGGESTED BET:
