RACE TWO
JANSSON (9) was in a mood last start and when the field was released, he stood still, watched them all take off and was never in the mix. The start prior from the 50m tape he was sent forward early and after doing some work cut back to the poles when beaten a half-neck. He can atone here. BOURBONONTHEROCKS (7) has been a model of consistency with a top-3 at her past 5 in succession. Under mobile conditions last start she worked home in good order from a 2nd line gate when runner-up to TAM OSHANTER. A winner from 20m here 2 starts back, she can challenge again. DOWN UNDER RORS (6) is generally a safe beginner and last time after stepping cleanly soon found himself buried in the run and searching for gaps. He can find a similar position and chime in here. ROCKET NOVA (5) has run some improved races lately and last start worked hard when parked when just wilting over the closing stages. Chasing TAM OSHANTER the start prior, he is a podium hope. SELECTIONS: JANSSON (9), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (7), DOWN UNDER RORS (6), ROCKET NOVA (5) SUGGESTED BET: JANSSON (9) to win
RACE THREE FIREHOUSE (1) has been to the start on 3 occasions here since joining the Cini stable, the latest when sent to the breeze over this trip from gate 7. Working hard in the run, he was grinding it out to fade in the closing stages. Grabbing 3rd behind LE TISSIER in both previous starts, he lands the marble to capitalise. HAPPY PUBLICANS (7) made a mess of the start here last week and under the circumstances the run was full of merit when chasing to be under 8m from the winner. Taking them all the way from gate 1 here 2 starts back, he can throw down the challenge despite the tough alley. ASCALABUS (5) caught the eye last start when charging home over the closing stages in some sharp sectionals when 7m in arrears of the winner. He made an error the start prior and can chime in here. GINGER MICKY (2) has not taken a stroll down victory lane since April last year which is of some concern, but his efforts have been sound enough to see him use this alley to advantage. SELECTIONS: FIREHOUSE (1), HAPPY PUBLICANS (7), ASCALABUS (5), GINGER MICKY (2) SUGGESTED BET: FIREHOUSE (1) to win
RACE FOUR GOING FOR GOLD (6) looked to have the race in the bag over the 2138m when finding the front from gate 3 and despite a 27.7 closing panel, was nabbed on the wire by LE TISSIER. Powering home over the top of them last start from gate 7 in a smart win, he can look to back it up with another. REMEMBER ME NOW (3) made the most of gate 2 here last week and after a nice breather through the 2nd panel had enough in the tank to hold on for a 2m victory. Down the line the start prior when repelled early, he has the speed to find the front here, and will be gripping on. ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (7) was 2nd up in Qld last time out when wide off the track in getting forward from the wide gate before receiving cover and finishing within 1.5m of the winner. He can go close again. SUNNY RICE (1) resumes from a spell and lands the perfect gate 1st up where she can take the economical trip in behind the speed. Beaten a half-head at her last start, she is a podium chance. SELECTIONS: GOING FOR GOLD (6), REMEMBER ME NOW (3), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (7), SUNNY RICE (1) SUGGESTED BET: GOING FOR GOLD (6) to win
RACE FIVE MISTER REACTOR (10) has the 2nd line to overcome but has shown good progression at each outing. With a month between runs, he was angled to the pegs here last time from gate 5 when best of the chasers behind BETTING ORIGIN. With added fitness and experience he can cash-in. PRESIDENT GOTTA GO (6) is a Gotta Go Cullect filly that ranks as a half-sister to UNCLE SHANK stepping out for her first race start for Chantal Turpin. Running up behind them in a qualifying trial when not really asked for much effort, the gate dents her hopes, but she stays under watch. JOE JINGLES (3) is a Changeover gelding making his debut for Wayne Graham. Trying to chime in 3-wide from the 600m in a trial, it was a tidy effort and from this alley he can be thereabouts. AUNTY ROXY (7) was a tidy 3rd on debut behind AMAMI and then 2nd up was a huge firmer in the market only to end her chances before they started with a gate break. She can bounce back. SELECTIONS: MISTER REACTOR (10), PRESIDENT GOTTA GO (6), JOE JINGLES (3), AUNTY ROXY (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SIX MAGICOL IDEAL (2) has been without a win for some time now but might just have found suitable conditions to turn that around. From the 2nd line last start he was trying to make a closing play and the start prior folded after working hard when parked over the 2138m. He gets his chance. CUZIN LYNDAL (1) was soon shuffled back along the poles last start after showing some early hustle when finishing 10m from the winner SHADOW MINISTER. Using the passing lane to be 5m in arrears of the winner NIFTY JOLT at her previous start, she can get the cosy trip here, ready to challenge. NIFTY JOLT (9) pressed forward from a wide gate last time to sit parked and after the tough run was still fighting when 3m from the winner. 7m from BARIKA the start prior, he can follow through to feature. MOTU AMETHYST (4) started from inside the 2nd line last time out when buried in the run before following through to grab the silver behind JOEY LINCOLN. She can go close again here. SELECTIONS: MAGICOL IDEAL (2), CUZIN LYNDAL (1), NIFTY JOLT (9), MOTU AMETHYST (4) SUGGESTED BET: MAGICOL IDEAL (2) to win
RACE SEVEN BARIKA (3) fired off the arm to lead them up from gate 4 last start and was gripping on in the stretch only to be collared in the last strides by GOING FOR GOLD. Doing it easy in front the start prior when leading throughout, she can take a left turn to the pegs and look for an all the way win. COBBITY CASTLE (7) is loving the Sunshine State with 9 wins in her 16 starts and yet to miss a top-3 finish. Adding another victory to that tally on Saturday night when proving too gritty in a mare’s qualifier, she zipped around to sit parked in claiming a 4m win. She will throw it down again. NINA SIMONE (1) settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 2 last start when finishing midfield to SHADOW MINISTER. A similar position when chasing PEPPA BLISS the start prior, she can utilise the gate to feature. COULDNTMISAFALCON (2) made a mess of things early 2 starts back and was a real eye catcher running up behind them when only 5m in arrears. Settling handy she can chime in here. SELECTIONS: BARIKA (3), COBBITY CASTLE (7), NINA SIMONE (1), COULDNTMISAFALCON (2) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7
RACE EIGHT KIWIS ARE FLYING (10) was brave last start when resuming from a long spell and should take plenty of benefit from the run. Rolling forward to sit parked over the 2138m, he was 8m from the winner but still held on for the silver. That was behind subsequent winner DEUS EX and with a super record here at The Creek van bounce back. JUDDY DOUGLAS (5) fired out to take control from gate 2 over the mile here 2 starts back and starting deep into the red was gunned down by KEAYANG MARVEN. Pressing on to take control from the 2nd line last start, he was able to see it out when holding a 3m margin. He can give them something to chase here. EL AGUILA (2) took control in the early stages from this alley over the 2138m last start and once in front was able to hold on for a narrow victory. Runner-up to UNCLE SHANK the start prior, he is in the mix. BITCOIN (6) has been given a light tie since his last start victory when taking them all the way in claiming a qualifier. He had been building towards that win with some smart performances and can chime in again here. SELECTIONS: KIWIS ARE FLYING (10), JUDDY DOUGLAS (5), EL AGUILA (2), BITCOIN (6) SUGGESTED BET: KIWIS ARE FLYING (10) to win
