RACE TWO
STUDLEIGH ROWSY (8) made an error last start at Marburg that ended his chances, yet he set about chasing and under the circumstances was a sound effort. If he can find his manners, he has found a winnable maiden to get on the board. HURRICANE DREAM (4) was on debut from gate 9 here at her last start when not much really went her way, including a slick closing panel that made it even tougher for the chasers. Kept fresh since that outing back on September 9, she might find this easier than her debut opponents. TIMSTAR (7) joins the Lola Weidemann stable after a down the line effort at Marburg last start when eased early. He can enjoy the cosy trip here to make a play for a minor. YARRAMAN ROCKY (2) is a South Park Hanover 4YO on debut for John McMullen that returned a tidy effort to earn his race ticket. From the gate he stays under notice. SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH ROWSY (8), HURRICANE DREAM (4), TIMSTAR (7), YARRAMAN ROCKY (2) SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH ROWSY (8) to win
RACE THREE WHATA REACTOR (5) has started from the front line just once in her past 10 starts and on that occasion was able to land the chocolates. Chasing for the silver from gate 8 behind JOHNROD 2 starts back, she gets back to the front line and can make that the impetus for victory. JOHNROD (9) rolled forward from gate 4 here 2 starts back and content to grind it out when sitting parked, was able to claim a gritty victory. Trying to make a closing play last start, he was wide off the track when not too far away and despite the 2nd line alley can be chiming in. TULHURST LOVER (6) has been hitting some nice areas in recent outings and has put together a handy record here on The Triangle. Only a head away from this gate last start, she can make a play. SCHOOBY (2) has early speed out of the machine to avail the options thereafter. Firing out before finding running line cover, he has placed in 3 of his past 5 and can be in the mix again here. SELECTIONS: WHATA REACTOR (5), JOHNROD (9), TULHURST LOVER (6), SCHOOBY (2) SUGGESTED BET: WHATA REACTOR (5) to win
RACE FOUR GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1) finally got his name up in lights with a maiden breaking win at Marburg last start when overcoming the 2nd line around the tight circuit to power away with a 7m victory. The writing was on the board following a 2nd to SOHHO CASABLANCA and he finds condition to repeat. BULLDOG BRAWLER (7) used some petrol to work forward from gate 4 to find the front at Marburg last start and was gripping on to claim the bronze. His previous 2 runs were in much tougher company and with the economical trip in behind the action here can be ready to strike. IMAJIVA (8) secured a maiden breaking win here 2 starts back when worrying them out of it when sitting parked. The pegs might be the play here and from there he is a podium hope. GIDUP CAPTAIN (2) showed early hustle from a wide gate last start before easing to the 1x1 trail but could not match the closing power of CASH QUEEN. Placed at both starts prior, he can chime in. SELECTIONS: GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1), BULLDOG BRAWLER (7), IMAJIVA (8), GIDUP CAPTAIN (2) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8
RACE FIVE GHOST GUM (7) was not suited last start at Marburg from outside the front line and retreating off the arm was too far back to make any impression over the latter stages. Placed in both starts prior when further back than he should position here, if the gaps open in time, he can snipe. KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (5) was soon locked away against the poles last start from gate 1 and looking for space that never arrived when required. 7m in arrears of ARMA VEYRON on that occasion, she was well beaten when firm in the market the start prior and finds a suitable assignment here. WEDDING NIGHT (8) did some early work last start before fading out when not suited by the workload. Poking through against the poles to score 2 starts back, she is a podium chance from the tough alley. SOMEWHEREINHEAVEN (4) was buried away from inside the 2nd line last start before showing some closing power to arrive for the prize over the 1780m. Positioning cheaply will be key here. SELECTIONS: GHOST GUM (7), KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (5), WEDDING NIGHT (8), SOMEWHEREINHEAVEN (4) SUGGESTED BET: GHOST GUM (7) win/place
RACE SIX OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (9) has now had 5 starts since joining the Chloe Butler stable, returning 4 wins. Firing off the arm to take control last start from gate 3, he was never in danger when cruising home to the easiest of 7m margins. Not suited when sitting parked the start prior, he can defy the tough alley. RITCHIE BEE (1) has been runner-up at his past 2 outings from wider gates, the latest when gunned down after taking control from the five-hole. With a steady opening half in that contest, he should appreciate drawing tighter to the poles here and will have his chance to dictate. WOODLANDS WONDER (8) should appreciate this class of contest after tackling tougher opponents’ last time. Only 6m from OUR BALOU in a qualifier last start, he can be making a play. PURPLE SHADES (6) has no favours from the car park but has been in consistent form with a top-3 at his past 5 in succession. Closing out from back in the pack last start, he can chime in again. SELECTIONS: OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (9), RITCHIE BEE (1), WOODLANDS WONDER (8), PURPLE SHADES (6) SUGGESTED BET: OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (9) to win
RACE SEVEN PATCHWORK JET (1) looked to have found his race here last time out despite landing gate 6. Easing as the field was released, he sat at the rear but never warmed up when finishing 9m in arrears of the winner LORD DENZEL. A winner here 4 starts back, he can enjoy the trip to strike in the stretch. DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5) was a winner here 4 starts back from the 2nd line when finishing over the top of them. Wide gates have dented his chances in all 3 starts since the win, the latest when grabbing the bronze after easing early from gate 6. With even luck in transit, this is within reach. DUKE (2) added another minor to the tally last start to continue his consistent efforts of late that have seen him place his past 4 in succession. Settling handy, he will again be in the mix. LORD DENZEL (3) fired the early bullets out of the machine last start and taking control was able to fight them off to claim a 2m victory. He can again be giving them something to chase. SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (1), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (5), DUKE (2), LORD DENZEL (3) SUGGESTED BET: PATCHWORK JET (1) to win
RACE EIGHT KATACHA MAN (6) was too strong last start when rolling forward from gate 5 to sit parked and then land a first over crush, holding on for victory by a neck. Just 4m from the smart 2YO MISTY CREEK the start prior, he can do it the tough way if required to arrive again here. CUZIN LYNDAL (4) pressed on to take control last start at Marburg over the sprint trip and once in control dictated through a sizzling closing half to cruise home to score by 8m. Gunned down in front the start prior, the gate is sticky bit she can be forward enough to challenge. SHE OWNS THE DAY (7) will need a slice of luck from this alley as she looks set to be buried in transit. Easing from gate 4 last start, she was strong to the line for the silver and can feature here. BE GOOD BENNY (9) was fresh last start when closing out in nice order to be under 4m from the winner PRINCE JOY. Tightened from that, he can be thereabouts. SELECTIONS: KATACHA MAN (6), CUZIN LYNDAL (4), SHE OWNS THE DAY (7), BE GOOD BENNY (9) SUGGESTED BET: KATACHA MAN (6) to win
RACE NINE IL MAXIMUS (7) looks set to secure the ideal trip in behind the speed here and will be ready to take his shot in the stretch. A winner from deep in the pack last start when charging home over the top, he was trying to wind up last start when 7m from GELDOF. He can strike with this trip. GELDOF (1) has found his rhythm with 3 wins in his past 4 starts, the miss coming when beaten by a gate that saw him too far back in the pack. Sent forward to sit parked last start, he was too gritty in claiming victory and from the gate will get every chance to dictate. JUST JOSHIN (8) will take benefit from his latest outing when returning from a break. Angled down to the pegs for the shortcuts, he can repeat that pattern to chime in here. ROYAL OBSESSION (5) started from inside the 2nd line last start at Marburg and was needing the space to make a play, but it did not arrive in time. Look for him swooping late here. SELECTIONS: IL MAXIMUS (7), GELDOF (1), JUST JOSHIN (8), ROYAL OBSESSION (5) SUGGESTED BET: IL MAXIMUS (7) to win
RACE TEN MISTY CREEK (1) will need to take another step here, but he has been able to meet each challenge presented at his past 3 starts. Never in danger last start at Marburg, he set a new class record for the 1850m trip in completing a hat-trick of wins against the older horses and has the alley to add another. MY ULTIMATE BONDI (8) tackled a qualifier last start when holding them wide from the ace over the 2138m. In for the fight, he was still giving when just 2m in arrears of the winner OUR BALOU. His past few have been in much stronger company and despite the 2nd line he can throw down the challenge. JILLIBY GIZMO (7) looks set to secure the ideal trip in behind the speed here and will be ready to take the closing shot. Placed in both starts since arriving here 3 starts back, he will be ready to snipe. MAJOR MISCHIEF (5) could not go on with it over the AP 2138m last start when beyond midfield. Pressing on to control it from gate 7 the start prior, he can overcome the tough gate to feature. SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (1), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (8), JILLIBY GIZMO (7), MAJOR MISCHIEF (5) SUGGESTED BET:
