Racing Queensland confirms that following a track inspection at Beaudesert today, the track has been deemed unsuitable for racing on at tomorrow's meeting, Wednesday, January 26.
As a result, the meeting has been transferred to the Ipswich Turf Club.
The track inspection at Beaudesert by club management, QRIC Stewards and a delegation of riders concluded that the whilst the majority of the racing surface was considered acceptable for racing purposes, an area of it either side of the crossing has not recovered sufficiently from recent inclement weather.
The same race fields (including TAB horse numbers and barrier draws) have been retained for the now Ipswich Turf Club meeting, however as a consequence of the venue transfer it has been necessary to amend the distances of three races on the program:
- Race 1 – was 2450m, is now 2500m;
- Race 7 – was 1400m, is now 1350m; and
- Race 8 – was 2450m, is now 2500m.
There has also been increases in the starting limit for three races on the card. These are races 6, 8 and 9.
All scratchings for the meeting have, given the change in venue, been reinstated. The same race times have however been retained.
The race meeting’s previously programmed apprentice claim category of “Country” has also been retained.

Whilst patrons (including owners) will be able to attend the race meeting, Ipswich Turf Club will be unable to provide anything in the way of hospitality services for on-course attendees.
