Racing Queensland advises that the Townsville Turf Club race meeting on Thursday, March 10, has been postponed and rescheduled to the following day, Friday, March 11.
The decision to postpone the meeting was made by QRIC and club officials as a consequence of the heat and humidity conditions which are forecast for Thursday.
The same race fields which were compiled earlier today will be retained, and the new race times for the meeting will available at short notice.
There will be no scratching fees applicable as a consequence of the rescheduling.
Stakeholders should also note that as a consequence of the late notice of the change, the race meeting will be broadcast solely on Sky Racing 2.
