RACE TWO

Shooting for the hat-trick of wins last start, SONNY ORLANDO (8) was beaten by gate 6 when retreating to the rear and then was not able to get into the contest. Pulling away from the 1x1 to claim a 14m victory the start prior, he has the second line options to capitalise upon.

FOR NO REASON (1) secured the 1x1 trail last start but could not get warm over the closing stages when midfield to TEACHERS PET. Hemmed away from gate 1 here two starts back as OFFICE BAD BOY took the prize, he gets the options here to challenge.

DANCING WITH MY EX (7) has faced tractability issues and last start back on March 17 was banished to the trials. Earning the return with a pair of steady hit outs, she is a podium hope in this line up.

SHEZALUCKYLADY (6) eased from gate 5 over the mile last start to find the poles before picking up some late metres for the bronze behind TEACHERS PET. The gate stings again but she can feature.

SELECTIONS: SONNY ORLANDO (8), FOR NO REASON (1), DANCING WITH MY EX (7), SHEZALUCKYLADY (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

A beaten fav at his first Qld appearance two starts back, ALL THE FOURS (6) was able to earn redemption last time out when finishing best from a second line gate to take the prize. Deep in the pack when first up, he took the benefit second up and despite the gate can look to go again.

FEELGOOD EXPRESS (9) made a good impression first up in Qld at Redcliffe on Sunday night when content to sit parked over the sprint trip. Grinding out the victory with a neck to spare on the line, she should take benefit from the hit out and despite a tricky gate can throw it down again.

TURN TURN FLYER (1) started from inside the second line last time out at Marburg where he did not receive the smoothest transit. With the good alley, he lands the chance to feature.

JET FORCE (8) was beaten by a wide gate at Redcliffe last start where he was snagged to the rear from the wide alley. Placed his previous three in succession, he will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: ALL THE FOURS (6), FEELGOOD EXPRESS (9), TURN TURN FLYER (1), JET FORCE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ALL THE FOURS (6) to win

RACE FOUR

After copping the inside second line at his past two starts, a return to the front for R ELEVEN ART (2)
can be the catalyst for victory. Taking them all the way at Redcliffe three back after a steady opening half, he was then luckless when buried. Taking control early can see him in position to strike.

GOING GREAT GUNS (10) has no favours from outside the second line at hi first run back at headquarters this prep. Hitting the board in all three runs since returning for his 3YO term, his second up win from gate 5 at Redcliffe was a tough effort when parked. He can look to challenge.

ALWAYSBME (7) settled in the 1x1 trail at Redcliffe last start and with a strong close out, had the speed to get over the top to score. Well supported in that event, the gate stings hope of a repeat.

PARTY POLOTIX (1) can use the benefit of the gate to find a podium finish. Grabbing the bronze last start from this alley in a solid last 800m after being buried, she can look to repeat.

SELECTIONS: R ELEVEN ART (2), GOING GREAT GUNS (10), ALWAYSBME (7), PARTY POLOTIX (1)
SUGGESTED BET: R ELEVEN ART (2) to win

RACE FIVE

With good speed off the arm and at his best over the mile in front, CHARLEVOIX (3) looks to have found the right conditions here. Setting the tempo last start, he was unable to finish them off when gunned down in the stretch to be 3m in arrears with the bronze. He will be gripping on here.

GLITTER STRIP (5) backs up from Tuesday where he was buried in the run from inside the second line and never had a clear crack at them. Wide off the track the start prior, he might need to roll the sleeves here in search of a position but is up to the challenge against this opposition.

MONTEREY JACK (6) was just a half-neck from the winner at Marburg two starts back when making a closing raid from the second line. Asked to do it tough when parked last start, he is in the mix.

CHUMP CHOP (10) had the hustle to protect the poles from gate 1 at Redcliffe last start and once in control was able to keep them chasing. Outside the second line makes this a lot tougher.

SELECTIONS: CHARLEVOIX (3), GLITTER STRIP (5), MONTEREY JACK (6), CHUMP CHOP (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CHARLEVOIX (3) to win

RACE SIX

CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (9)
has commenced his 3YO term in fine style with successive Marburg wins and a narrow 2nd from his three appearances. Pressing through from gate 10 to be in front after 600m last start, he couldn’t repel SHEZ NOTORIOUS who had the sit on him. This open contest is within reach.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (3) made the most of the opportunity from gate 1 last start over the 2138m, keeping them wide and then holding on in the closing stages to record a half-neck margin. Under 3m from the winner FRANCO NATHAN the start prior, she can fire the early bullets again here to challenge.

FRANKIES TOOTH (5) was first up for 12-months at Redcliffe on Sunday night where she was a tragedy beaten. Carted back to the rear when the leader hoisted the white flag, she chased hard to get within 2m of the winner. Added fitness will help.

SHADYS DELIGHT (8) was a winner on The Triangle four starts back when securing the pocket trail before getting clear to sprint to the wire. Placed twice since that win, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (9), SHEZ ALL STYLE (3), FRANKIES TOOTH (5), SHADYS DELIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

First up in Qld without a trial over the 2138m, LOUIE THE PUNTER (8) sat out of a ridiculous 34.4 lead time to settle in the 1x1 trail. When the white flags started to go up at the 600m, he was angled wider and moved up to hit the front, only to be rounded up at the 300m. Fighting back gamely to go under a head, the added fitness will help from the tricky gate.

CONGO LINE (1) was resuming from a spell last time out when tackling the 2138m trip from gate 6. Retreating to settle rearward, he was attacking the line with power over the closing stages to get within a head of victory. Placed in 4 of his previous 5 starts, he has the gate to challenge second up.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (4) tackled a strong APG mares heat last start when sent to sit parked outside JASPER. Unable to cope and fading late, a return to this grade looks more suitable.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (5) started from gate 10 last time out and with the right trip was able to finish over the top to claim a narrow victory in a blanket finish. Gate 5 is sticky, but he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: LOUIE THE PUNTER (8), CONGO LINE (1), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (4), JILLIBY JACKPOT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-5-8

RACE NINE

Shuffled to the rear from inside the second line last start MACH BRILLIANCE (9) was trying to launch a closing raid but could not work into it after the early tempo. Closing hard for a win at the mile here two starts back, she can find the right position and a return to the mile will be an added benefit.

TREACHEROUS ONE (5) will strip fitter following his first Qld appearance last week which was his first run since January. Sent forward from gate 7 to sit parked, he was fighting hard over the closing stages to hold on for a midfield return. An improved gate and fitness can see him challenge.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (1) was 4m from the winner MISTER HART last time out after easing to find running line cover. Gunned down in front at Marburg the start prior, the gate aids his chances.

ROSARITO (8) will take some benefit from his first Qld start for Chris Frisby on Sunday night at Redcliffe where he was fresh up since January. Only 6m in arrears, he will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: MACH BRILLIANCE (9), TREACHEROUS ONE (5), BANGKOK BRAVADO (1), ROSARITO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH BRILLIANCE (9) to win

RACE TEN

Going as good as is possible without winning, COMMODORE JUJON (10) will need to overcome the tough gate, but the map and tempo might just work in his favour. Closing out along the passing lane last start when runner-up to APHORISM, his run when 2nd to BITCOIN two back was full of merit.

MISTER DIAMOND (1) started from inside the second line in Saturday night company here two starts back when securing the perfect trip in behind the speed. With superior closing speed to take the win, he could not get warm last time. With the alley comes the options to throw down a challenge.

CAPTAIN NEMO (6) started from the second line last start at Redcliffe but was not entirely comfortable yet was near to the winner OUR MAJOR DAY. Three-wide the trip the start prior, he has podium claims.

JUST ROKIN (9) was able to slot into the 1x1 trail at Redcliffe last start and with an even tempo over the 2040m was able to loom up and pinch a blanket finish. With the right trip she can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (10), MISTER DIAMOND (1), CAPTAIN NEMO (6), JUST ROKIN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (10) to win
